I bought a Dell desktop with i5 processor and 1TB disk from MicroCenter a couple years ago and it still runs like new.
While in high school, I was one of those guys who pumped the gas (i.e. "fill-er-up!"), checked the oil, and washed your windshield!

After a day of hiking I took one of those to bed with me once. Didn't know it until the next morning when I felt a little bump just above my ankle. Yuck!!!
I also have a Tamron 70-300 and I'm also considering a rental, but in my case a 600. My Grandson's graduation ceremony will be at an outdoor stadium in a few months. Yeah, can't help but smile at these shots. But as a dog obedience trainer (and proud owner of a Bernese Swiss Mountain Dog and a Shetland Sheepdog) I have to agree with ex-veterinarian BajaDreamer. Never put anything like this in a dog's mouth. Ever!!!
Nice pics both, but #1 would be my first choice. Maybe because it's further away, seeing a little more of the scene and the colors make it more interesting. . .
