My wife does not like using my digital camera as she says it is too complicated. She said all she wants is a simple to use digital camera that takes decent photos; something with focus but not much else. She would like something with a view finder. Don't know what to tell her as I myself is getting back into photography after being away from it for several years. Any suggestions?

My wife uses my Nikon P610 bridge camera and takes some great photo's with it.

Eyefi have been bought by Toshiba, the replacement app is called "Keenai"
This app simply does not work, photos are downloaded but that's it.
It is virtually impossible to view the downloads in any photo gallery.
I have 3 Eyefi cards which are useless and only any good for storage, what a waste of money.
Are there any other UHH members who agree with me.
MY ADVICE IS: DO NOT CONSIDER BUYING AN EYEFI SD CARD THEY ARE USELESS.

I have an Eye-Fi X2 card and have no problem with downloading to my computer or processing the photo's

By the way, this isn't a plug for Ken Rockwell. His opinions are all over the place and sometimes just plain idiotic. What he does well is give you a good history and detailed specs on a lens. Beyond that, his opinions are subjective and sometimes questionable.

I'm thinking about buying a refurbished Nikon D7200 from Nikon for $700.00. Along with the camera I'm looking at the AF-S DX Nikkor 55-300mm f4.5-5.6G ED VR lens refurbished for $150.00 and the AF-S DX Nikkor 18-55mm f3.5-5.6G VRII new lens for $250.00. I will be using the camera mostly outdoors for wildlife (Birds and other wildlife). Does this make sense buying refurbished or are there other cameras and lenses in this price range better. Can I get by with just the 55-300mm lens or should I buy both lenses. My first selection was the D3300 camera with the above mention lenses for around $700.00.This is my first camera and do not want to spend over the $1,100 amount. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please excuse my knowledge just a beginner........
I'm thinking about buying a refurbished Nikon D72... (show quote)

I had the 55=300 vr for bird watching in the back yard and it's fine for that. Don't spend $250 on a 18-55 vr lens as I just sold one like new for $50.00. they are all over for sale for much less than $250.00 usually less than $100.00. The Nikon D7200 is an excellent choice.

Can I use this Kenko on my Nikon 24-120mm f4 VR lens or my Nikon 70-210D f4-5.6 lens
I was just wondering if it's safe to use.

Just a little note on these lenses. I was having huge distortion problems until I updated the Distortion Control from Nikon and now it is back to my favorite walk around lens. when you buy the lens, go to Nikon and update the camera with the latest firmware and distortion control updates.

Camera came with latest firmware.

I just ordered the Nikon 24-120 F4 Vr refurbished from B&H with 2yr Drop & spill warranty.
Still less money than the refurbs on Nikon's web site.

Whew, your post makes me feel good about my recent porchase of the Nikon D750 with 24-120 and 80-400. Nice range coverage, but way way heavier than my D90 with DX lenses. Now I need a personal trainer and to start doing upper body workouts.
