Well done, Brian! There is one rough-legged there that loves a "One Way" sign and will hold a pose for a long time. I have gotten a few of him and Mia Harrington did a nice spread in her bird blog.

How well I know. I see it on the sign pretty much every time I go there. Here is another shot of it I got earlier this month.

It's been some time since I last posted anything, figured this shot would be a good post. Had this Rough-legged Hawk hold this pose for me. Due to the weather and lighting at that time I had to settle for a high-key shot...

This Stellar's Jay caught my attention just chilling and watching in the branches of a pine tree.

My Gold Crowned Sparrows are back and willing to pose. The last in the series breaks some composition rules unless you break the image down into vertical thirds. Rules are made to be broken, and that shot called for this treatment I believe. See what you think.

Beautiful set Vicky, thanks for sharing.

Looks pretty good to me. Both the light and dark wings retained their detail.

Thank you Jerry. Enjoyed the visit with good friends. Duck season was on when we were there. Funny how all the ducks were in the no hunting areas and hardly any in the hunting areas. Hehehe.

Great set. Love the Kestrel on the post!

Thank you Judy. I was pleased that the Kestrel actually allowed me to get the shot before leaving...

One of our favorite spots is Yosemite National Park. We visit at least once a season and sometimes two, since it's just about a 5-6 hr drive. My favorite time is when its snowing or just recently snowed. The park takes on a very different character in the winter than other times. Here are a few of my more recent winter images from the park. We are headed to the Rockies for Christmas, but then to Yosemite as soon as we get back, assuming there's snow.

Thank you for sharing your fantastic shots. They all could easily be hanging on walls for all to admire. Beautiful collection.
