There is a tendency on this site to ignore real deals in favor of high priced name brand products and people scoff at real bargains....check this link out, carbon fiber rated at 26 plus pounds load bearing rate with ball head.....yea. had mine for over a year and love it. see for yourself before you buy other alloy metal tripods with lower weight bearing loads guy.

So many people on this site have repeatedly made the same statement and advised me time and time again that you cant get quality without paying for a big ticket item but persevere and look you can find great deals on the internet. I purchased a carbon fiber tripod 58" with ball head and monopod detachment I love for 117.00 on ebay. copy and pasted my purchase I highly recommend you look. got the same crappy advice about flash lighting before yongnuo became popular which performs better than nikon equipment. (have both)

good luck i admit alot of times the advice is true but try reviews and look carefully at specs I would have ended up spending hundreds more if had bought brand name.

400.00 versus 80.00 to me thats a very very big difference......glad its not for you......
lots of us would disagree and find that model/brand very expensive indeed.
one other note....have tested shots at full zoom hand held and got very good sharp photo's.....
fyi............lens weighs 15.87 oz....take a look if you like, really not a burden at all and for the money there is no better deal (329.00 on ebay) and the versatility it provides in one lens covers so many bases.....I think its a great opportunity for budget conscious hobbyists....just my 0.2 cents
