You got it right, buddy. Doesn't that make you feel smart? I hope so, because you really aren't. I already knew that I didn't know. So who's the smartest? You'll never know because you're so full of yourself.

You win the bet. Give the money to Capture. He needs it and a whole lot more to fix his problem.

I lost 9000 images from Lightroom, by a worm or some such evil. No one including Adobe has been able to locate them, and I've had "experts" to look. Adobe by phone had a guy with strong accent attempting via the search by permission method. When the cursor stopped moving I asked if he was still there. He wasn't. So much for Adobe's help. I thought that Adobe Cloud had things stored. It doesn't. I'm no longer a fan of Adobe and I'm looking for something else.

Thanks, Dave. That's not the one but it has a few that were on the one I had in mind. Nevertheless, it may suit my friend's purpose. But the big thing is the always cooperative nature of the people on this forum. Incredible!

Some time ago a list appeared here. It was a series of one-liners short of the punch line which appeared on the next line. Such as:
A) OK, Mr. Physicist. What's the speed of...
B) Dark.

A friend wants the list but I don't have it anymore. Can anyone help?

I prefer to trade "facts" as opposed to the innuendos you trade in. There is more than enough room in the facts to argue and disagree without having to resort to school yard taunts.

I repeat. Get out, Bud. Not wanted here. We get along with each other.

Of course, he was the HEAD of the government at the time he said that. Basically, he was saying, "I'm SO bad at my job, I scare people".

Perhaps if Republicans actually elected people who understood that government was supposed to HELP people, they wouldn't be so afraid of it.

Get off the site, Buddy! You don't deserve us.

NCIS - the original - is one of my favorite shows. I like the actors, the characters, and usually the plots.

NCIS is the only show that I have my cellphone remind me it's time to watch. I really do like all the characters. Gibbs and Ducky are classics. All play their character parts very well. DiNozzo sometimes gets on my nerves but there's a reason for his quirkiness in the way he grew up and with the father he has it's understandable. Abby is a nutty sweetheart. I do miss Gibb's father (incomparable Ralph Waite); that was a sad time. Sure, I missed Ziva like everyone else, but like life that the show portrays, you go on. If your favorite neighbor of all time moved away, he/she would be missed like mad, but the replacement (who must by necessity have a different personality) could be accepted if you take the time to get to know him/her. The same applied to Bishop. It took me a while to "know" her, but now I really like her character. As to any criticism for nearly any show, I blow it off with, "Hey, it's a SHOW; get it?"

Hi Robin,
I just read the entire sequence of correspondence that resulted from your initial plea, and I thought back to what I said to you when I read your comment some time ago as you wondered if you were in a forum that wasn't designed for you. I was delighted to see the familiar names popping out of the woodwork, and the barrels full of great advice given. The hogs are just as I told they would be; great people with a desire to help.

It's not, Robin. There are plenty of newbies here, and plenty more of former newbies who still don't have their stripes. What will amaze you is how fast these guys move in on a photography question. They have only one thing in mind; to help. There are only a couple with sharp tongues; though they have expertise, they also have short fuses and sometimes prove to be irritants. Usually one of the others will say in effect, "Back off, the guy was just asking." Roiled waters will settle and all goes back to the norm. You'll soon recognize names as they pop up, and occasionally a name will be mentioned as one to wait upon for advice or opinion. I've never seen a site like this, and love it.

Might seem that way to a newbie but not only do these guys know their stuff but they bend over backwards to help everyone out. Keep sharp or you'll miss your worms, Robin.

Gee, I study much and make up my own mind. And I do not follow the superstitions of others. What is wrong with that, and why should it bother you, unless it bothers you that others may believe differently than you?

What a proud Christian you must be. I assume that others have made up your mind for you? If you need constant associations with think-alikes, then perhaps spending more time in church would help.

Thank God we don't all think like you.

James we have had this out with you before.

I see that Shaw has been a regular blight. So typical of one who places himself above a work (either secular or Scriptural). Rather than study the material, he feels that his mind is superior to the writer. This is bad enough on the secular basis, but is disastrous on the Scriptural. The Bible says that to please God, you must first believe that He is. Shaw doesn't pass the first test. He flunks. Who cares to debate with a failure? It's futile. That's why I called him a waste of my time.
