Nice try, but I think your settings on the D7000 are not quite right. The images seem to be blown out..

All of them? The pics of the aningha I was shooting directly into the rising sun.

Which is why the bird would normally be underexposed. But it is not, it is washed out...over-exposed. It looks like you have expose comp set rather high. ALL of the pictures have the whites blown-out. Again I suspect ex comp setting s the culprit.

Thanks for responding. I checked the camera and exp comp is set to 0. They dont look blown out on my monitor, except for the backlit shots. Ill have to do some pp when back on my computer.

I think these are a little better. When something is blown out so much there isn't a whole lot one can do to correct it.

Are you using a lens hood on the lens?

Yes, always use hood on all my lenses. They do no good when shooting directly into the light source.
