More on the subject...

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2014/10/03/1334013/-Germany-just-eliminated-tuition-while-Americans-are-drowning-in-1-2-trillion-student-loan-debt

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2014/10/02/1331943/-Attention-American-Students-Tired-of-Prohibitive-Debt-Germany-Has-Now-Abolished-ALL-Tuition-Fees

Excerpt…
“The government spends around $69 billion subsidizing college education and another $107.4 billion on student loans. Tuition at all public universities comes to much less than that, around $62.6 billion in 2012. By restructuring the education budget, the cost of attending public universities could easily be brought down to zero. This would also put pressure on private universities to lower their cost in order to be more competitive.”

Students and society struggles while state funded colleges and universities we all pay for have billions in endowment money. That money is most likely syphoned off by the Oligarchy while the Fed prints more for the rest of us.

Looks a lot like the R1200 minus the Telelever front and some tin, and a few added farkles other bikes have had for decades like the inverted forks. It is a nice configuration, if the price is right, but no doubt over-designed like all Beemers.

I don't understand why BMW keeps putting the exhaust pipes on the wrong side. Burn your leg a few times as I have and you will ask the same question.

Ah... Self respect at Boot Hill. Now there's a goal we should all aspire to.

Some people ride their bikes rain or shine and some people trailer their bikes and trikes to Daytona. I've seen all the "Posers" I care to. Been there and you would need to pay me to go back.

It all depends on why you are riding in the first place. Life long motorcyclist or RUB. I happen to be the former and all the riders I know wouldn't take a trike as a gift.

Don't see the point myself. All the dangers and none of the fun or convenience. Never understood "Dressers" either. I have a car when I need to take that much baggage.

Scooters are becoming very popular here in sunny FLA, ranging from 49cc (no license required) to 650cc that are quite capable. Personally, I would Scoot first, Trike last. Low CG makes them easy to ride, and while I haven't priced either, the Scoot is no doubt less expensive and cheaper to operate.

I wish you had written it too. Then we would know who writes this drivel, not just who posts it.

So... one side cheated?

Stupid question. Yes, he would ask Congress to declare war just as Roosevelt did in '41.

And congress would promptly go on vacation.

Hello

Revisiting past interests now that I have retired. Shot lots of 35MM starting with an Argus C44 moving on to a couple of OM-1's, then on to digital with an Oly 700 and a 16mp Cool Pix. Got terribly frustrated trying to get decent shots of my daughter's HS graduation, so I bought a D5300.

Now I'm having a great time shooting again, although everyone around me is annoyed with the constant presence of the camera. I have the 18-55 and the 55-300 lenses, I consider them one for indoors and one for outdoors.

Love the articulated live screen and having fun learning all the setting possibilities I have been longing for. WiFi to my iPad is great too!

I look forward to learning more about cameras and their art form.

Regards

Peter
