Thanks everyone for the sincere, and um...less than sincere responses.
There appears to be a very narrow gap between the knob proper and the rubber housing that might serve as a retainer. Might have to drag out the old eye loupe.
Seriously considering a silicone or RTV since either should be easy enough to remove if used sparingly.
I shoot "Av "almost exclusively but night sky, etc occasionally need to change.
If any of you folks happen to stumble on any other info you might share, I would appreciate it.
Recent trip to Wyoming, noticed the dial cap was missing. Ordered a new one but am very reluctant to just glue it on.
Anyone have any experience they would care to share?
Thanks

Hahaha...love it.
I didn't get any this year but I love that we have a local thing that we can rally around!
Ramps sure can smell.
It's not too late to enjoy their benefits and a nice place as well. Bring a jacket, just in case!

It is not what
God intended but what man has made it. It needs the collective prayers of all of us and His first love for us to be mirrored by all of us for things to get better.
Utter nonsense!
Interesting comment! It just so happens that you, as well as those that share your position are given special recognition in scripture:
1 Corinthians 1:18King James Version (KJV)
For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
When time allows, maybe give the Word a serious read. Whether you agree with it or not, you will undoubtedly find yourself mentioned on numerous occasions.

You guys are too much. Where do you come up with these ideas. Who else can you blame to assuage your fears? The Boogie Man, Goblins, Mothra?
Not enough time to enter the fray but you might consider the folowing:
Hebrews 9:27King James Version (KJV)
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment
Lacking any known exceptions this seems to be pretty inclusive.
Many thanks.
Heard this just a few weeks ago...again. Timeless and appropriate always.
You won't believe what they will do to a robins' eggs! No mercy, but then...

More of His work? I don't see how any human can be blamed for a child going blind from an ophthalmic nematode, or a dog being eaten alive by leprosy. Anyone got a different explanation? If so, it would help me a lot at work to explain why dreadful stuff can happen to innocent people and children, God-fearing or not.
You might wish to read Exodus chapter 20. As I recall there is something about "visit the inquities of the fathers to the third and fourth generation..."
Or maybe check out the book of Job. You will find he asked many of the same questions. The answers are there also and I sure don't wish to spoil the surprise for you or anyone else.
Of course it's easy to blame someone else, but how about a little credit for every time you hear a child laughing, or watch a sunrise, or taste a cool drink of pure clean water on a hot day. Hard to believe anyone could not feel a touch of gratitude. But then, maybe I've just seen enough "ugly" to know where it comes from.
And after all, everything here, good or bad, is only temporary.
Something about the old saying, "walk a mile in my boots" that comes echoing through.
Too bad it had to happen this close to your heart before you could realize a few of life's really hard realities.
You will never see Arlington the same, and you will be a better person for having been here.
All kinds but a good place to get feedback. Just don't stress if someone gets a bit testy.
Note: if there's something you need help with and want to communicate without the chatter, use the PM(private message).
Hang tuff! You've lived through worse!
Spring before you know it.
Very good!
Pretty much done in my area, but once in a while....

Well, the new lens and going from a tripod to a monopod the last few months has helped. I'm not giving up on the tripod but I find that with the monopod I can change the angle of the shots to get the field markings I need for proper ID much easier and without disturbing the dragons. It works better on stream and lake banks because there is only one leg to adjust for the slope. I just got back from surveying dragonflies in central Texas while visiting the kids and grandkids and was quite pleased with the quality of the shots and how many fewer shots were throw aways. I posted two sets in the photo forum and one in close ups.
That's not too late for VA in the east but a little late for your area. It also depends on the species. Many are gone from here around the end of September.
Thanks for asking and have a great day!

I've been slap covered up recently so online time has been scarce. Hopefully I can get a chance to check your posts out soon. I'm betting they're good.

Thanks Doc. As the year winds down are you happy with your dragon captures? Saw a couple the other evening but they were hunting and hardly stopped. Pretty late for my area.
Outstanding piece of work! I really appreciate your sharing this one.
Thanks
