Thanks for the prompt reply...we are going to that area and are spending a week at The Red Rock Ranch which is just southeast of the campground, then we have 2 days in Jackson, 3 in the Tetons (contemplating doing the Moose-Wilson Road), 4 in Yellowstone, 4 in Glacier and 3 in Waterton...we are staying at Jackson Lake Lodge, while in the Tetons, so Oxbow should be close as well. Any other pointers you have are welcomed...thanks again!
Great shots!! Where in the Tetons were you for these shots? I will be there in 10 days...thanks in advance...
Great stacking result! The lighting is appealing and well done also.

How the heck do you pull off a 6 image focus stack of a live critter ( face on) ? I've been able to do that with spider on a web because they sit quite stationary but a wolf spider face on ... Amazing work!
Placed it in the freezer for about 90 seconds. Had about that amount of time before it got warm and mobile - then back outside it went.

With the Canon 5D Mark III ?
Yes it was. My T2i takes great pictures as well, but I seem to get more out of a shot with the 5D.

We are also interest in camera settings: ISO, shutter duration, and aperture.
ISO 100, 1/100-sec at f/16, MP-E 65 macro lens & MT-24EX twin speedlight, with left side at 2/3 power of the right side.
Rescued from our pool. I think it was grateful. 2.5x magnification, & 6 image focus-stack.
