Just got back from a lovely trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico. Our balcony was a great spot to watch the hunting habits of a flock of pelicans. I'm still learning how to capture birds, but I thought these came out acceptably. Hope you like them. On an aside, Puerto Rico is ready for tourism again. They desperately need our tourism dollars.

You need to ask NOAA. This particular storm was over 6 inches by me. These photos were taken in a protected area where some of the snow had already blown away.

Tigger!!! Now that's a new one. I saw a Japanese water kami. I love these symmetrical manipulations, you can see all kinds of interesting things.

We had a quick winter snow storm blow through the other night, Noah. These captures are from the following morning while my Japanese green tea was being prepared. Funny what one can capture from ones front door.

Thanks. I tend to like atmospheric type settings. Most of the good birds aren't around right now in NJ so one does what one can.

There was an old psychiatric hospital near me that the State of New Jersey recently reconfigured, freeing up a large parcel of land. The land was ceded to the county in which I live and repurposed into some outstanding public venues including a "Disk Golf" course (I recently learned what that means.....). The course is configured around two small lakes that provides some interesting atmospheric opportunities in the right light.

During our recent visit to the Puerto Vallarta area we spent a nice afternoon at a private beach at Las Caletas. This property used to belong to John Huston. We were there during the celebration of La Dia de Muertos so the place was appropriately decorated with memorials to the deceased with the corresponding marigolds, etc. Quite a lovely place.

I had time during a recent trip to Mexico to practice some more on live birds. I believe the second bird to be an Anhinga, though some Americans said it was a Booby.

Just back from a visit to my place in PV. We had a lovely dinner at a restaurant over the River Cualle. This Egret was hunting for his/her dinner while I was consuming mine. Camera in hand....
