I have this 2X converter and using a 50mm Minolta lens { available on eBay for $20 } and a glassless adapter, are able to take macro pictures. Also infinity is also available,So for about $35 you could have a macro lens

On an impulse at the thrift store, for fun, I bought an older (non-digital) Vivitar 2x Macro Focusing Teleconverter with mounts for Minolta M/MC/MD. It doesn't fit my Sony Alpha camera/lenses. Can I get away with buying two identical mount adapters without glass (which are available for about $10 each) or would I need the ones with glass (which go for between $30 and $150+)? I was thinking that since it is a focusing teleconverter that just the non-glass ones might work. Or is the idea of even trying this just silly? Perhaps the adapters would throw the geometry all off. I have no great need for it, I just thought it would be fun to play around with. Thoughts?

I would add Gantry Park in Long Island City for great views of the City, especially as night comes on. For $12 you can also go to Governor's Island which has great food trucks and a beautiful view. (Watch the times on the ferry though). Whatever you do, have fun and enjoy!

I have a habit of perusing cameras and prices, and just noticed that Best Buy has upped its price on the Sony A6000. Currently, the A6000 with the 2 kit lenses, the 16-50 and 55-210 zooms has gone up to $1049.99. What's with that? A few months ago, the same kit was a couple hundred dollars less. Is there something going on? It looks like the prices on their other mirrorless cameras hasn't changed. Just curious.

Is there a cord out there that will allow me to get my little Sony Flash HVL-F20M off the hot shoe? I believe the cords I have found are not compatible with the new hotshoe on the camera?

I use a L.L.Rue Blind ,for many years .It is made for photographers .Two people can fit in comfortably

I am looking for a quality blind from which I can shoot photos of birds. I would prefer to shoot from a sitting position on a stool. I live in a warm dry climate so ventilation would be desirable. Recommendations?
Thanks in advance,
