Color out of blackness. Maybe a red-wing does it better, maybe not.
My first car was a 57 MGA (thanks dad). Best memory, 2 hours racing a TR3 in the Adirondacks in the small hours of the morning. He had the power but I had the corners. He couldn't pass. Wish it had roll up windows.
Wow, never saw that bill color. I'll have to look at some old slides.
Really strange that Carson is the most "liked" but is almost invisible on the map.
Upgraded an Asus (core M) and Dell XPST I7. Both from Window 8.1. The touch pad on the Asus lost some functions and I've lost the wireless connection to my printer. I wasted a few hours trying to make it all work again. (do I really need wireless to talk to a printer 2 feet away? I dont think so)
Those three strides make the picture. "Nice Capture" was never more appropriate.
After a few weeks on vacation, Chuck is back. He likes my apples. No human likes them but the wildlife thinks they're pretty good.
Chuck eating an apple.
This is chuck. I've been fighting "him" all year. He has holes under four of the buildings on my farm. Aside from the holes, he is not destructive. His favorite dining place is the clover beside my garden. He's never touched the garden. I've trapped his offspring (actually, I think "he" is really a she). I've decided to let him spend the winter here and we'll resume our war in the Spring.

When the weather is bad, I tend to turn off the camera. Glad you didn't. Nice capture of a moment and place.
If enough money is collected from hunters and used for wildlife conservation, there could be a net gain. Around here we have deer hunting. It's a tradition and it's done for meat. We have too many deer and I've seen many die of starvation (in Michigan) so I don't mind. Killing for "sport", is just plain sick.
My father used to take pictures of things I couldn't see. When the film came back, I could see what he saw. That's a very nice picture.
Is the black line a crack, rotten wood or simply a different coloration. Whatever, it's beautiful.
That first pic is amazing. I'm a geologist and and amateur photographer. Focus, exposure, composition and something unusual. You nailed them all.
