I leveled the photo, and brought some life back to the trees.

I selected the words, put them on a new layer.
Then open a solid color adjustment layer, and picked my color.
Use a clipping mask on the adjustment layer.
Then I used layer style to bevel and emboss.
once all that was done I was able to use the adjustment layer to change the color.
