Again thanks Don. That was the problem, updated both CC versions of Lightroom and Photoshop and it's working fine now. I've always had respect for you and your answers on The Hog now I know why.

First time post. I've watched for quite a while and have come to know and respect many of you.
Now I've got my first post (problem). Hope it's a simple fix.
New Nikon D500 delivered yesterday. I've been using lightroom for quite a while no problems.

I initialized my new sony XQD card and the new SDHC card.

Went out this AM to shoot some bird shots in my back yard (I have 10 feeders set up, Large variety of birds inTennessee) I'm In east Tennessee.
Came back inside after the shoot, Fired up Lightroom 6 and Uploaded the XQD card to my computer. No problem then, after uloading 110 photos lightroom says "unable to show previews."
Lightroom says there is 110 photos and names them but will not show the preview's. What gives? How do I get the preview to show?
I've got 110 Boxes with "unable to show preview but has the NEF file name under each preview pane. I can see the photos on the preview pane on the back of the camera.
By the way love the camera. I've got a D7100 that I've used for the last year and a half never had a problem with the previews showing up. HELP Please............BigJim

2. What is 100% crop? I have a D7100 and its pixel count is 6000 X 4000. So If I want to do a 100% crop will it be
3000 X 2000?

Thanks Leon S, and Amehta, for your advice. I purchased the Tamron 70-200mm 2.8 and have been using it for a lot of his games. It's a really good lens and I like it, I especially liked the price ($1225 on ebay.) Amehta I'm glad you recommended the 1.8 85mm. I was under the basket one game and I actually got some good shots with my Nikon 50mm 1.4. That set me to wondering if a really fast 1.4 85mm would be ideal. So your recommendation of the 85mm is sort of confirmation for my thoughts. so thank you both for your reply. BigJim

Interesting discussion. I have a Nearly new D7100 with a lot of lenses and I was wondering Is the D800E good for sports photography (Basketball). I like to take pictures of my grandson playing BB. Is the D800 good in low light. Middle school gyms have really bad lighting. Thanks in advance.. BigJim

I ended up getting the D7100 from Amazon and several other items as well. Never a problem with Amazon.

Stay away from them. I ordered the D7100 from them and I got a phone call from the customer rep wanting to know why I didn't order the U. S. version. I told him I thought I did. He said no the U. S version was $1146.95. I told him to ship it. I didn't feel right about the whole order so I started to track order. I found out the order was in town but UPS wouldn't deliver it because the company requested a return of the item. I go online with My credit card company and they gave me a credit for the whole amount. I wouldn't buy anything from AJRitchie period.

Will someone explain "Grey Market" to me. Aren't all Nikon lenses made in Japan?
