Question regarding use of a circular polarizer and a 1.4x extender on a Sigma 60-600mm lens used on a D500 and D850 Nikon. I read there are auto focus issues arriving from use of a circular polarizer on this lens (especially above f8). Is that correct?
What about the 1.4x extender? Does that cause issues?
What about the use of both on the lens together? The loss of light is a concern given the f4.5 to 6.3 aperture of the lens.
Are the concerns valid? I am more inclined towards the extender than the polarizer if a choice is needed. Thank you for your thoughts and expert advise.

Hello. I am in need of a circular polorizer for my Sigma 60-600mm lens. The choices found so far are:
B+W 105mm Basic Circular Polarizer MRC Glass Filter at $213.99 or
Urth 105mm Circular Polarizing (CPL) Lens Filter (Plus+) - 20-Layer Nano-Coated, Slim Design for Camera Lens Polarization at $199.
My experience with B&W has been excellent.
Urth is an unknown brand.
Does anyone have an opinion about the Urth brand or this particular B&W cp?
Which would you choose?
Thanks for your recommendation.

Bay Photo metal prints are my choice for anything that I print. Normally I order high gloss or mid-gloss, round corners and a float mount. This works well for any photo whether it be landscapes, wildlife, ice art, etc. The metal print colors are beautiful. My entire gallery wall is solely metal prints. Imho, metal prints are top notch.

Bay Photo is my 'go to' for fabulous metal prints. Their on-line order process is easy. They will color correct if you order it. Customer service is the best ever. Living in Alaska has provided ample opportunity for scenic, wild life, ice art, and aurora photography (all metal prints of various sizes decorating my walls).

Making memories...capturing special moments that will never be created again...the fun of looking at ourselves during days long past by...the joy of our first child/grandchild, the first 'home'...moments captured today to enjoy tomorrow. Beautiful scenic of places never to be visited again...wildlife each uniquely different in its own way. Need I say more.

This is almost a no brainer, but people occasionally ask what kind of small camera to bring on a trip.

"Do not bring new gear on a trip." If you need or want new gear, buy it well before the trip so you have time to get used to it.

My first DSLR, a Nikon D70S, was purchased just prior to a trip to Germany. My flight time from NY was used to 'learn' the camera. Some of those photos are still favorites today. Sometimes you just have to do what is necessary to meet lifes challenges.

Mail them.

Sorry but my experience with mailing stuff has not been good. UPS is preferred. Thanks for the suggestion.

BBurns, that sounds like sound advise. UPS is preferred over Fed Ex so I will go talk to them. I have 3 SKB cases so it will be costly. What lind of 'band' are you referring to? Thank you.

Thank you for the response. I had three different straps and wasn't sure which went to what. It got figured out. Thank you.
