Thanks for the honest answers, I feel that I now make a wise decision.
Hello photo friends.
I've purchased the majority of my camera equipment, both new and used from B & H and Adorama, and have been extremely pleased.
I saw a lens listed from KEH, a Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 L II USM EF Mount Lens that I'm interested in purchasing, however, I have never had dealings with KEH. My question to you good folks is, have you dealt with them and how were your experiences?
I look forward to your responses.

When I travel, I am sometimes asked to take someone's picture with their phone. The problem is that because I never use my own phone to take pictures, I don't even know how to use the camera on phones. i'm happy to oblige these people but I'm pretty inept at it.
Exactly! I was waiting in line for the third time to be tested for covid and this time for some reason I had to take a picture of my driver's license and insurance card. I had to have one of the young kids working there take the pictures because I rarely use my phone for picture taking. I have my Canon 5D Mark4 to do that.
Excellent discussion, civil and informative. There are real distinctions between photography and "phonetography" and they were brought out.
A very strange topic, why are we even discussing this? Of course you don't take pictures of naked people on a nude beach. If you want to see naked people, there is this thing known as the Internet you can look at.
Use your camera to create images that evoke curiosity and wonder, photos that you will be proud to share with others.
A lens hood has prevented damage to my lens more than once. When moving in tight spaces, I much prefer that rocks or trees bang into my lens hood than my very costly lens. My opinion for what it's worth is that you use your lens hood at every possibility. Even an expensive hood at $80 can be replaced much easier than a lens at $2,100.00.
I dropped a Canon 10-22mm wide angle lens a few years ago onto a concrete floor. After I stopped kicking myself and using bad language I contacted Canon for help. I explained what I had done which was to bend the barrel and they told me how to send it to their repair facility. They were very professional and within about two weeks I had my lens returned with a new barrel and it's worked well ever since. The best part is that the cost was quite affordable.
In my opinion, the Canon Service Centers provide Canon users a valuable service that may be underused.
More power to the guy! Whatever he's doing he needs a wheelbarrow.
The Canon 10-22 mm lens is a wonderful wide angle lens; however, it won't fit the Canon 5D Mark IIII as has been mentioned. It does fit the Canon 7D and will give you wide images but not the widest. I use both of these cameras and what I have found as a great wide angle lens for the Mark IIII is the Canon 14 mm prime. If you prefer a zoom lens, the Canon 16-35 is a great wide angle lens.
Neither of these lenses is inexpensive but they will give you a superb wide angle image.
Great info on the Canon 300mm f/4 IS ISM. I have nothing to add, I just enjoyed learning from the group.
Thanks
I'm glad I read this edition of the "Hog". Why do I bother to bring out my good camera equipment to a family event when my kids and grand kids are busy with their smart phones?
It goes deeper than that. Why do I bother showing up when they are busy on their smart phones? Sometimes I feel that I wouldn't be missed because they are so engrossed they wouldn't notice that I wasn't there!
Canon owns the majority of the market but if if you prefer Nikon go for it. In conclusion this question should be a dead issue.
