Has anyone had puzzles done from photos? If so, what size do you recommend for a 500 piece puzzle and can it be either a landscape or portrait format. I went on line and saw a bunch of stuff from Amazon, but not sure if that is the best place to look.
Thanks and a Happy New Year to all.
Bud

I have had about 40 puzzles made. After trying 3 companies, by far the best is PORTRAIT PUZZLES in Wisconsin.
They do a great job! The girl that answers the phone is named Ashley. She will tell you anything you want to know.
You can also identify the photo & they will put it on the puzzle. I am on the Sea of Cortez right now, so I don't have
the phone # with me.

Your making a simple subject very complicated. If your post-process shoot RAW, if you don't shoot JPEG!

I have that combination! The only problem you might have is that you may never want to take it off. It's the best walk around lens available. We do a lot of world wide trips and I use to take 3-4 lens and a bridge camera.
Now I only take the 810 and 28-300 lens, and a good CPL.

I have traveled all over the world, and always take a lot of photos. After much experience I have found it is best to have a walk-a-round lens that you don't change. I used a 18-200 on my DX camera until the 18-300 came out. Then when I moved up to the Nikon D-810 I immediately ordered the 28-300 FX lens. You want be sorry! Leave you 2.8 lens at home to take on auto trips. The only additional items I take is a CPL, manual, charger, cleaning brush, and my shoulder holster.

Stay with iphoto. I tried it and did not like Photos. My wife had to "bootleg" iphoto back for me.
Even now if I shut my computer down, I have to go through a certain procedure to get iphoto back.

Merrill lasted less than 7 month worth 6-8 miles hiking a day per one year.. Basspro would be the next best alternative as you can enter the store and try them on. if you choice to order online you'll end up having to order 3 different pairs as the shoes are each made differently. Mother use to order 3 pairs from zappos shoes until she found the right one.

Edit:

Just a reminder, merrill and a few other shoe manufactures do offer a 1 year warranty so if your shoes wear out sooner than expected you should get a new pair etc.

Take a look at ECCO. They are light & very comfortable. Amazon/Dillards or most major department stores or walking shoe shops have them. It's all I wear for all occasions!
