We have found upon arrival in almost any foreign country, in the baggage claim area of the airport, there are several booths selling local sims. We buy one that will last the length of our visit, usually anywhere from $20 to $50. Have always worked well. When we return to the airport to depart, we go back to the booth and have then reinstall our old sim.

We bought a Vodaphone card at the airport. It could be used in the EU. A few years ago but it was 10Euro for 4 weeks.

I’ve found Australia to be not only a land immersed in cultural diversity but also it has some beautiful vista’s and some interesting geological sites that tend to inspire me. I’m adding a link to google maps for those who may be interested in the location.

https://maps.google.com/?q=Red%20Rock,

This looks to me to be country in central New South Wales but it could be somewhere else . The link does not help much. We do have a huge variety of terrain and vegetation from coastal, to tropical jungle/rainforest , inland plains and desert.

I have laptop machines with both 10 and 11. Inevitably you will need to move to 11 though if you want MS support. The format on different brands, Dell and Lenovo in my case, varies. I have kept W10 on a machine as the Windows photo editing software on 10 is more user friendly than on 11. An example is when you save an edited jpeg file on 10 it automatically adds a suffix (1 , 2 , 3 etc ) which makes it easy track the changed files. On 11 you have to rename the edited file. I also find that working on document files involves more steps with 11. Not progress to my mind.

Many Australians do it too. Silly paper crowns, cheap toys and lame jokes from inside a bon bon.

I use both 10 and 11. W11 has Photo and file software that , in my view , is not as user friendly as that of W10. Ultimately though you need to move on.

Beautiful images.

I note that they are from an "older "7200, non mirrorless, camera!

I am fairskinned and have had my share of skin cancer issues but so far none life changing. I have however had shoulder surgery , rotator cuff for one and fracture for the other. My fear at the time was that I could no longer hold a camera or do other things. 6 years on from the cuff I have no problems, still play golf etc. My other shoulder aches from time to time . My point , similar to that of others, is that your fears are highly unlikely to be realised. Good health and speeedy recovery.

Two of my friends have Alvis cars-around 1928 models, seriously old, and fairly basic! One also has a Jag XK120.
