I want to see if the iPhone 7 plus is "good enough". The dual lens system. At least I will always have it with me. The 6 is pretty darn good, but no reach. The seven doubles that.

Ditto on ProShow Gold if you use Windows. If Mac, then Fantastical. But as mentioned, if you are using Lightroom see if that is good enough.

I just watched the movie on Netflix. Really great. Her work is wonderful. But she was crazy.

Thanks so much for sharing this. Made my day.

Make sure you printer will work. I learned the hard way. Canon i9900 is not supported. Canon says tough luck, that printer is old, buy a new one.

email me: Helen@adorama.com with your order number, and consider it done!

Another great example of why Adorama and BHPhoto are the go to places for stuff. Adorama also has a VIP club you can join that gives you access to some great deals. I am in the market for a new Mac and will probably buy from them. They generally have the the best prices, and are great to work with.

PS I have no affiliation with them.

Serious question: At one wedding per weekend, that's about 700 shots per wedding. Is that normal for weddings with digital cameras. The reason I ask is because the very few times I have done formal weddings, I have seldom shot more than 10 rolls (360 shots) of film. Even when I was using two cameras (one B/W; one color), I seldom shot more. And when I switched to MF, I shot even fewer shots. I have never claimed to be a professional wedding shooter and am curious.

My daughter got married two years ago. 1100 photos. Photographer started at noon with prep photos and went through the reception that ended at midnight. Not sure how many were actually taken.

Just bought a27inch NEC from B&H . Should get it on Tuesday. Like you I did a lot of research. I was looking for a pro model without the pro price. Since my main goal was for photography editing I stayed away from monitors that would not depict the actual picture. I love the retina displays and my Mac has it but I find it hard to make good prints. Any I'm sure you know all that. The price was at 1200$ and is on sale for 900$. I have 30days to see if it's what I want. The Dell looked good also but I think it's more for looking than working

Great monitor, assuming it is as good as its predecessor, which I have had for about five years. Easily calibrated. I don't see a lot of the other alternatives comparing to an Ezio, but this does. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?N=11006641&InitialSearch=yes&sts=pi

I see you graduated from Fox news. As for the batteries, Tesla built their batteries in Reno Nevada, I had no idea Nevada does not belong to the US.

And Tesla is what percent of the electric/hybrid market?
And they burn a lot of coal to fuel them. I don't have it handy, but when I bought my last car I did a lot of research, and the hybrid had a bigger fiber footprint than the gas version.

Another point. Most of us are not smart enough to really know what is happening. But we have a right to be skeptical. One problem with the current peer review is the backlash on scientists that have spoken out against them. The grant money is heavily distributed to studies supporting climate change. So the argument that the 3% deniors are paid by the oil companies rings hollow. Because they can't get a grant. I know first hand several scientists who have told me they would be blacklisted if they spoke out against it.

In addition, the climate changers are looking at only a 200 year period, which is a statistically insignificant time period in our history. Especially when you consider that we were coming out of a mini ice age when the measurements began. Parts of the Hudson River was frozen over during the revolutionary war. Go back to Viking teams and it is clear it was much warmer then than now. Dairy Farms in Greenland.

100 years ago there was far more evidence supporting the Theory of Relativity, but counter points were not shunned. Scientific healthy debate was encouraged. Now they are finding that it may be flawed. One concern I have with many of the climate change supporters is the belief that there should be no more discussion and if you disagree you are an idiot. I am automatically suspicious of anyone that takes that stance. They are not competent enough to withstand a challenge so they shut it down. But instead resort to bullying.

I use Backblaze, and have been very happy. It costs $50/yr, but is unlimited for all drives connected to one computer. I have a 2009 MacPro with four drives. One drive is synced to a drive in my wife's mac, so I am getting everything backed up.

Good to know Amazon has the native mac app now. I might look at it again. I already have prime.

I got an invite to order two days ago. I ordered, and got a reply that it will ship May 14. That surprised me. I have not followed up to check that date again.
I actually think it could be a fun device to have around.

I always recommend Lightroom as a starting point because it is a good editor, a great organizer, and does a decent job of preparing photos for web or print. You can add photoshop or elements for more complex editing, or choose a less expensive layers-friendly mac editor like Acorn. Lightroom handles almost 90% of what I need to do. Photoshop does the rest. Paintshop does not work on a mac.

The Original Post was not to determine that one or the other was right... IT was to show some who have tried to convince me and others that just because a Scientist said it it is TRUE...... Mr. Hawkins is one of the Most Famous Scientists in the world and has now changed his mind on a subject which (I Believe) he was the original instigator of.

And obviously the other NASA scientists have not taken his thoughts to heart and still believe in the Black Holes...

Did you actually read the articles? Hawking is not saying they don't exist, just that the event horizon is different from what was originally believed under general relativity. The titles are misleading.

I've been married to this one (my second) for 9 years. I kept the nice boxers, the cashmere sweater and the two ties. All the other stuff (shirts, sweaters, a jacket) either didn't fit me or it just didn't look good on me, or at least not as good as this X100S. This is one sweet looking camera, and it'll give me a larger sensor point and shoot than my EP-5 or EM-1, and is cheaper than a FF Nikon rig (that I'm contemplating, back-burner).

I have been eyeing the 100S since it was announced. Looks like a great camera. I have a Nikon D300 now, along with a Panny LX-3 for candids (something light to have with me most of the time) and have been thinking about the 100S.

I'm new to photography as a hobby. I'm getting ready to start full time RV'ing this spring with a motorcycle. I'd like to get a digital camera to take along. I'm looking for the plusses and minuses of both types of cameras. One consideration for me, as we will be traveling a lot on a motorcycle, is size and weight. I'm leaning toward the Nikon D1 V2 but could pick up a D100 for nothing. I plan on taking wildlife, bird, and motorcycle pics primarily. I would appreciate your experience and opinions

I have been a DSLR guy for years. Looking hard at Mirrorless for the lighter weight. However, for shooting sports and action I do not think Mirrorless is there yet. Wildlife I am not sure. but if I was traveling on a Bike I think Mirrorless wins out.

I just sat down at my desk with my new Fuji X100S, bought from my local camera guy (have known him for 28 years). This camera is gorgeous, and I bought it for myself because I took back all of the other Christmas stuff (mainly clothes) that my wife got me. I can't wait for the battery to charge so that I can set it up and then go shoot. The pics here are beautiful, I hope I can create something similar!

How long have you been married :)
