I treated myself to a new toy this Christmas and am amazed at the sharpness of this 24mm lens. I takes a bit of time to get use to shooting a fixed prime lens, but this is a learning curve that I'm really enjoying. Here's a few images from yesterday's afternoon with my new baby and maybe my new prime camera !

Ed; Beautiful pics, very sharp, nicely composed, almost like watercolors... Love the style and your camera. Which Fuji exactly are you shooting? I like it!

Thank you all, it's the Fuji X100s. I have been and will continue to use my Nikon d300s, which is comparible in picture quality, but with the battery grip, so much larger...

Very nice. Good and sharp. I noticed you said you are in hiding, so I won't reveal where these were taken. I was shooting exactly in that same spot about a week ago. Lots of interest in those docks.

Fuji makes good cameras and good lenses.Unfortunately they are not as popular as Nikon and Canon.

Yes...that camera is such a "sleeper"...it's deceptive.

It looks like a 1950's throwback...like a disposable camera....tiny...unassuming...

and every time I hit the shutter and see the results I say what you just said....

Wow...it came through again.

You must be thnking of a different camera. The Fuji 100s is a vey fine looking retro camera that has as a very high professional build quality and looks nothing like a toy camera. The build quality is seconded only by it ability to produce sharp high quality images which DXOmark compares favorably with the full frame Canon 5 MkIII. A sleeper? They sell so fast, the stores can't keep them in stock !
