Very well said and photographed, Camshy. The somber gray skies contributed to the overall mood of the event and gave great color rendition as well.

Ok... not sure what type of tree this is. I was thinking that it could be a Red Bud, but I am not sure. If it is not... then what kind of tree is it?
I agree with Swizzle...looks like a crabapple!

Just a few pictures of being outside in the nice weather.
Nice job with the frames....love the bleeding hearts!
One of my crazy sisters has been enjoying being part of a roller derby team in Indiana near my hometown. She also makes amazing theme cakes as a side job so the derby name she chose is "Splat E. Kake". I went back for a family visit and to enjoy one of her bouts. I just bought an SB-700 flash unit a couple of days before the trip so it gave me a chance to try it out. The pictures aren't great but it was fun anyway!
Splat E., another sister and a stinker.
Splat E's ready to roll...
Some of Splat E's team...
And a photo of my great-niece just because she's precious!

Ok some of you may think that this is a little morbid. But I put my dad's ashes in there. He passed away just before Christmas. He worked for C & 0 for many years. He was also a Harley rider for most of his 81 years. For those who do not know a thing about Harley's. He is resting in an old oil tank from a Shovelhead Harley. The guy who did the air brushing did a great job. I think my Dad would be happy to know what he is in. And yes there was some oil residue. Nothing wrong with a little Harley oil on you. Heck I still have it pumping through my vines:) Always have had Harley in my life. :)

I recently posted some old tin pictures, these are not tin, but these are some of my favorite ones. Hope you enjoy them.
I am guessing these are family members from way back. These pictures once belonged to my Aunt. I do know the church was established back in 1886. I also know that is where my Dad's family went to church. Have several family members buried in the grave yard there.
Thanks for sharing some of your family history camshy. I always enjoy old pictures like that, they have a way of helping me imagine what it must've been like to live during that era.

this came in as one of the top five in a local photo contest. It will be auctioned off at a fundraiser. Felt pretty good, competing against several pros. :D
Congratulations, suesart!
