Hi folks. Have had to put down my cameras for 12 months. Now I find that my Picasa has died. Am an aged pensioner & the freebee of Picasa met all my processing needs. I would like your advice on replacement software that will do all that Picasa did, but not break the bank. I am in Melbourne Au and with several good camera stores locally. Your suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

I took some photos (lots) that have a date stamp on them (prints on the front of the photos), but the date is wrong. I initially set the date, but had to take the battery out to recharge it, and of course lost the date setting. Dah! Didn’t realise till too late! Do you know what program (if there is one) that can let me change this?? Would Photoshop do this? Any ideas // suggestions please?

Hi folks,
I would like to thank all of the contributors who helped me find Back Button focusing methods.

You are all so generous with your assistance & I sincerely appreciate it.

Now got to practice to master it.

Thank you Marion.

David Busch entitled 'Compact Field Guild' (700D/T5i) sounds like the book I should get.

Have asked Amazon about its availability.

Thanks for your instant reply. Can you give me any more detail on BBF while waiting for the book, please?

Cheers.... Ray.

Hi folks, I have a new Canon 700D camera with kit lens 18-55: 55-250.
I read much about the advantages of Back Button focusing.
I have not been able to find it on either my camera or in the User Manual.
Do I have the facility on the 700D Canon?

If so, which buttons should I use & how do I utilise it?

Thank you for any advice you can give me.

Hey Blackest....
have you thought of asking your medical bloke to plaster the camera fitting from your tripod into the obvious spot on your plaster cast ? ? ?
(You could rescue the tripod fitting when healing finished.)

Then you could fit your camera to the plaster cast & "bingo" you have a mobile tripod.... YOU.

But do remember to ask your wife/// girlfriend to make love VERY very carefully. LOL lol

We learned about "making do" when the convicts arrived.

Cheers from Down Under........ Ray.

Have you thought of getting a medical bloke to cement a tripod l camera mount into the appropriate spot on your plaster cast.

It could be removed after healing.

Then fix your camera to that camera mount & ! ! ! "bingo" you have a "mobile" tripod.....you ! ! !

Just remember to make love to your wife..... very carefully. LOL

Thank you Harold. You have set my mind at ease in a number of questions. There is so much to learn & at 85 I have left it a little late....but have the health to still be mobile.
Harold, we are seeing the devastation in Oklohoma & surrounds. I hope it is well away from you. Our love & prayers are with you all. Thanks again. Ray.

Hi folks,
After the help many of you gave with Kit Lenses I have decided to buy BUT in going thru' the Camera specs I discovered there is no Digital Zoom.....& worse still, no mention at all of the necessary Optical Zoom.

Clearly I am a newbie to this gear.... so could some kind soul please tell me what I am missing.

The 700D has so many good reports, it must be my ignorance !!!
Can anyone help me please?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Folks,
I just want to say a big "THANK YOU" to all who responded to my request on the twin lens kits.

You have helped me enormously to understand the differences between the various kits... & the quality issues. I appreciate the detail you have offered. You have set me up with information I would not ever received.

Thank you one & all,

Ray Jones Melb, Australia.
