Hi folks. Have had to put down my cameras for 12 months. Now I find that my Picasa has died. Am an aged pensioner & the freebee of Picasa met all my processing needs. I would like your advice on replacement software that will do all that Picasa did, but not break the bank. I am in Melbourne Au and with several good camera stores locally. Your suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.
Ray, I think you can still get Picasa to work. It's just not supported any more. If you are looking for other software, I'd recommend taking a look at Lightzone. It's free.

My Picasa is still working fine.
If you want free with ease of use try Faststone. Lightzone is also good.
If it had been working, then the current situation suggests it software has become corrupted. If you have it on CD or disks, try running the installer again. Your current versions of hardware and software do not, by themselves, know of upgrades or any other changes. But if you have uograded your computer and/or operating system software, then the probkem would be incompatibility, which is tougher to deal with.
