If you look in the second section where it says Preset: Custom then there is a slider below that and next is a check box that says Reset Sliders Automatically. Check that box and your problem should go away.
If the box is unchecked, when you open a new mask, it opens with the last settings you had from your previous mask.

Great pics. I agree about the fourth one. Was the waterfall done with a drone?
No drone. I was standing on the side looking down into the hole created by the water over who knows how many years.
It's a strange look for waterfalls. The river flows at ground level and then drops into the pool and then flows out through the canyon worn away by years and years of water.
A friend and I went to the Palouse mid June for a short photo trip. It was a good trip and we were happy with the results.

Colour would have been SO much better.
I appreciate your comment, but I find it interesting, there are more positive comments on this set of B&W shots than either of the two pages of color shots.
I convert many of my shots to B&W because it is how I really started my experience in photography with B&W and it gives me a feeling of nostalgia. Back then it was partially because I could shoot so much more as B&W film was more affordable and I really enjoyed the process of Developing and Printing my shots.
Also, most of the photographs of Yosemite that I have seen are from "Old School" photographers who shot in B&W so I can see what my shots look like against my view of what it looked like years ago.
But I can only speak for myself. I would like to hear from those that have commented and find out what it is about B&W that moves you to like them so much.

Really nice shots. I'm curious what all the photographers in shot #5 were taking pictures of. Was it just the pond or were there animals there as well?
The 3 brothers were reflecting in the pool of water.

October 2022 was my first trip to Yosemite NP and it was impressive. Although it was so dry there wasn't any water flowing over the falls. Hmmm, I guess I will have to go back again.
Most of you have probably already been there, but let me know if you want to see any more shots of the trip.
Nikon D810, Nikon 24-70 f/2.8 lens for most of these.
A few Black & White just for fun.

It is certainly a stunning photo Dave and getting rave reviews. There is one thing that I am curious about though. It seems like there should be some of that magenta color that is in the top half reflected in the bottom half as well since it is in the sky as well the peaks. Very well could just be me that is looking at it that way. Again, a gorgeous beautiful shot!
I think I used a graduated filter to darken the sky a little and warm it a bit as well so it pulled out the warmth in the sky but didn't affect the reflection. Plus I think the blue of the water overpowers the warmth as well.
Thanks for looking and commenting.

Absolutely breathtaking Dave, I have not been to Yosemite but to many other national parks. Did you send the picture out and if so whom did the print?
I had it printed at Bay Photo, it is printed on aluminum with a glossy white finish.

Some refered to these as the Three Brothers, others called them the Three Sisters so I am not sure what it's called.
