I have to interject here that I appreciate all of your replies and sometimes if they don't go directly to the question I've asked or others have asked I just kind of edit out the non-relevant parts and absorb the 'important' stuff. I've learned a ton of information by posting here. Thanks.

BTW, I've been a Canon guy for most or my life. This is my first Nikon and I really like it. The next one I buy will be a "big" body Nikon. I wanted to start low-cost as you've probably noticed, I do with everything, and a nice light camera for the type of shooting I do.

Now I've got to figure out what a "lensbaby" fisheye is...lol.
EDIT: never mind.....just googled it. Nice little lens but more costly than I want to start with.

Yeah, Ebay scares me a little bit. That's why I was asking for suggestions for trustworthy sites. I'm going to probably look for a regular, low-cost lens.
I just want to get some experience with fish-eye before jumping into a higher priced lens, but I tried a really cheapo fish-eye screw on and it fell apart after the second useage. Literally fell apart.

Yes, as some of you have alluded to, I really would like to try out this type of photography before spending a lot of money on a lens.
Funny, but with all the camera equipment I've had over the years I've never had a fisheye.

Another question.....I'm a bit quizzical about buying any used camera equipment. Can some of you enlighten me as to safe sites where I could at least expect to find good, working used lenses please.

I have most of the lenses I need and am now looking for a fisheye I can screw onto my 18 - 55mm lens when I see a shot that looks like a fisheye effect would make it more interesting.
I'm not even sure if any of these low cost screw ons are worth it but thought I'd run it past some of the knowledgeable folk here to get some feedback.
Thanks in advance.

Very interesting photography and also I relate to your difficulty with cutting down trees. Another hobby of mine is Bonsai trees and I have an affinity to all of them.

You are right about Argentina. Latin Americans I have known are highly resentful of people from the US feeling they are the only ones with the right to call themselves "Americans". South of Mexico, the proper term for people from the US is "Norteamericanos", not "Americans".

Let me clarify. The man is the President of the United States of America. If you want to try to make your president look silly, no matter what your country is, have at it. Leave ours alone.

I use Paintshop Pro X5 to process my photos and usually after
using some of the enhancements in the "adjustments" tab I save the finished file to a specified location.
I must have hit something by accident the other day because now after processing the picture and trying to save it I'm getting this error message:
"Because of the limitations of the specified file format, the saved file will be limited to a single layer and a maximum of 2 colors. Would you like to continue?"
The resulting picture comes out terrible. What have I done wrong and how do I correct it?
Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,
Len
