Outstanding work! I love the one with all of the apples in the harvest bins. If I may suggest, I think this image's impact would really increase if you were to crop down to remove the sky. The sky really doesn't add anything, in fact it tends to distract from the main subject. This would give to you the basis of yet another stunning poster.

Very nice work, indeed.

thank you mooseyes (hope I spelled that right). very good suggestion. I cropped the original and it does look better
Thanks again

You've got it caboose. I took 5 pictures (using a tripod) and I changed the focal point on each photo. Then when I edit them I stack one picture on top of the other. That way to have more depth and you are right it makes them almost 3-D. I could have done something similar with HDR but sometimes I don't like the way they look. I'll put up another picture or two.

Dumb question - when you stack them - do you change the transparency or? Obviously i have not stacked before.

I use Photomerge in Photoshop, I used Photoshop Elements 10 for this. Basically you are blending all of the photos together.

Very nice. I live in the middle of the USA and we do not have scenery like that. Thanks for sharing

Welcome rt1379,
I'm with Lois no scenery like that here either. I have coal mines and farms.
Send us more

Welcome DownUnder, Beautiful shots
Oh good now we need to step up our game, hahahahaha
My first camera was a Kodak Brownie also. What does that say about our age,
My boys saw it and asked "what is that?" hahahaha

Welcome again

Hi H in G, Not bad for your first HDR! Was this a multiple exposure HDR? The only things I'd try is shoot at f/8 (like you did). I'd put your ISO at 100 (200 on some nikons). White balance on cloudy (that will give the sky even more warmth and color). And a little more reflection on the lake if you can. When I take a shot like this I shoot it several different ways and choose the one that I think is best.
I know I sound a bit critical but this is really nice!!!

While driving through the orchard we saw an apple on a fence post. This is my favorite photo

Beautiful. I like the waterfall and love the fawn! Have you ever noticed the more you work for a shot it seems to have more meaning to you even if no one else gets it?

You are going to like it if you have the need to take wide angle shots. My friend has one and just loves it. When we go out shooting he can get shots that I can only dream of. I'm more of a Macro guy myself. Have fun using it and post some shots with it!
