Many thanks all of you; sometimes you simply can't "see" when it is your own! Cheers, Marcie

Absolutely gorgeous! Have cottage in W. Yarmouth and have never seen an owl there - period! Congratulations on a beautiful shot - if it were mine, it would be blown up on a canvas!

Tell me if this shot is as good as I (think) it is; I love the colors, but wish it was just a little bit sharper. (??)

Gorgeous shots...all of them! I was there in early 80's and fell madly in love - w/Scotland! I would live there in a heartbeat and choose Skye - the scenery is simply awesome and we were welcomed everywhere with lovely hospitality. Another trip in '90 got me as far as Fordyce and afterwards a climb up the Cairngorm, so I've got one munro under my belt...which I realize is nothing!

I love/love the third one...magnificent rack! Your deer are very different from the black-tail specie over here on Vancouver Island. Congrats on beautiful shots!

Definitely art - yes! I love the vintage quality of #1...really gorjus! #2 reminds me of Halloween which may be good or bad, but it's a sharp good shot; #3 bothers me a bit; I think it's the diverse costuming, but love/love your obvioua creativeness; keep this up and you be famous! :-)

You live in my favorite country; there is simply nothing like Scotland! I've just come from the cam club's field trip and the trail ended at the Nanaimo River (Vancouver Island) where the salmon were spawning and the gulls were waiting. Your pics are superb; I never got one really out of the water...congrats on great work! Marcie

Those are abso beauties! You cut them in half to make sure they are pure (marshmallow) white; then you saute them in butter until brown, and when the butter is gone, you pour in a glass of white wine; simmer until wine almost gone. Sit down with another glass of wine and enjoy one of the sweetest little mushrooms that our forests provide!

Being a "shroomer" I find this photo very, very good; the 2 in the middle are very sharp and I actually like the softer focus on some of the other ones. Just as good as shots I see in the mushroom books, so good for you! I don't know what it is, but it looks familiar, altho I doubt an edible. Cheers!

Welcome Stanley! I'm a native Newton gal, then Marlboro, then Lunenburg! Shopped many a day at the Natick mall! It's a wonderful place to grow up in...but, right now, Vancouver Island is what we call "paradise"; no more snow-shovelling, etc. Also out today on a field trip with the local cam club - unbelievable trails at an old mining location...the Island just goes on...and on! The HH is THE best forum I have EVER come across...period! Easy to upload your photos too; just follow the directions. Will look for your pics. Much good luck! Marcie

I wanted to take some shots of deer at our local reserve, but wanted them in the woods, not open countryside. I was using my 100-400 lens with a 1.4x extender, so max aperture available was f8. With ISO set to auto, that became super-high due to the lack of sunlight in some areas and, hence, images are grainy. I'm not unhappy with them, but think now that I should have dumped the extender as a lot of shots were actually within the lens focal length. Anything else I should have done to improve my chances of a good image? (apart from chase them into the sunlight!). They are rutting now, so one needs to be careful.

Your buck has attitude up the kazoo! Your doe & fawn are precious; can I take some lessons? Superb! Marcie
