At the hardware store recently I approached the checkout counter with my items.
The clerk swiped each item. The total shown on the screen came to $1.21.
I offered the young clerk a $5.00 bill, a quarter and a penny. She did not know what to do!
She finally ask me if I had any other change. I said, “no”. She tried to hand me the quarter and the penny. I refused to take it. (Just to see what she would do.)
Flustered, she called for her Manager. He came out and made the proper change for me. (Four ones, and a nickel). The look he gave me told the whole story!

What is it about everyone's response to you that causes you offense? Look, I graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor's degree and the only reason my school continues to contact me is to solicit money for the Alumni Fund...that's it. While I was at school, I had the utmost of attention from them in every department of the school to help me accomplish getting my degree. They gave me the tools to use but now it's entirely up to me to use what I've learned...on my own! It's kind of like learning to ride a bike for the first time. Someone was there to help me learn, but once I stayed up and rode without falling down, my parents never came to me again to see if I could still ride, there wasn't any follow-up.

I've read every other person's post on here who responded and, sure enough, I read some VERY GOOD advice for you to use...but you have to do it on your own.

Someone asked the question, "What did you expect the school to do after you graduated," but you never responded. Did you think they were going to hand you a job for all your hard work?

I don't know if you're willing to accept what I suggest but this would be a great thing to do. I'm sure you still have contact information with the school, maybe even with all of your instructors. If you don't, the school would probably get that for you. Once you have the contact info, start emailing those instructors to see if they are aware of any photographers in your area. If so, then contact them...all of them. Submit samples of your new work, photos that you've taken AFTER completing the course. Ask for their critique. Just do something because everything in this life that's worth having requires effort, patience, and perseverance. Good luck to you. And, by the way....STOP SHOUTING! It hurts all of our cyber-ears!
