Probably not those words exactly. "I don't want to purchase, I want to print them". "I don't want to purchase, I want to use them". "I don't want to purchase. Thats my kid. I should be allowed to use them". "Are you a professional? Do you have a business? Did you go to school for photography? No - No - No - and No. Then why are charging me?"

etc
etc
etc

No thats not your kid, thats a photo of your kid. You don't have to be a pro to charge if the photographer wants money for it then thats his or her prerogative !

Thanks for your reply. But isnt the whole idea of the watermark to make the photo unappealing so no one steals them?

I guess if you're going to put a watermark diagonally across the photo it will make it unappealing and too much hassle to steal

No wonder all the people back then looked all stiff, cranky and uncomfortable. I've got a photograph of my great grandmother like that! She looks like a woman you wouldn't want to mess with.

I'll post it tomorrow.

You never see an old time photo with someone smiling cause a smile was too hard to hold for long periods! occasionally you see someone smiled but it turned out all blurry.

It seems by your urgency that you did not have a backup of the library. So you got luck, but now is your chance to put a backup system in place so if it happens for real, you will have a decisive course of action you can take.

Hard drives can fail. If your storing important information on a computer you really need to back it up. It's not hard nor very expensive. Of course if you don't care if you lose all your photos then don't bother.

I do have a backup

Seems like saxkiwi does not wish to let everyone know how he solved his problem, but he wanted everyone to help him solve it in the first place.

Ive been too busy to go online.. The problem lies in doing something silly like trying to export from I-photo where I uploaded the photos I thought I couldn't upload anymore on aperture and then exporting them to aperture from iPhoto by using open library in i-photo in the file drop down. Doing this rendered a take over and showed only the iPhoto photos in aperture and hiding all my aperture library. The fix was going to file in aperture - switch to library, basically just switching it back to how it was. I managed to talk to an apple guy on the phone with no charges so I don't know why some charge and some don't.

If you have Time Machine, you should be able to restore your Aperture library.

I have mistakenly disconnected early too, but Aperture allowed me to reconnect and finish downloading, so I'm afraid I can't help you other than to agree with David to contact Apple Support. Apple Support is very very customer friendly and helpful and can usually solve problems over the phone. Good luck and let us know how things work out.

Trouble is apple want $40 to sort out any problems what could be just a quick click and I'll have my library back.

Look at the right sidebar of Aperture. There is an option about not downloading duplicates. Uncheck it.

Thanks will try that but main concern now is getting my whole aperture library back!

Why not take the card from the camera and put it in a card reader attached to the computer? You can then open the card in finder select all and copy to somewhere like pictures or desktop

Yeah thought about that but my main concern now is getting my projects { photos} back

Help someone! I was uploading photos from my camera to aperture and disconnected it before they were downloaded and aperture wouldn't allow me to upload them again, even tried with different cameras so I uploaded them to I-photo which worked and then thought I could export them to aperture. I went to file in iphoto and clicked on Open library in aperture. Now whats happened is my entire aperture library seems to have disappeared, so how do I get them back? Can I reverse what I did in iphoto some how?

That's why you live in New Zealand. The correct spelling is Opossum, and he gets mad when you try to take him out of his cage.😜

Same spelling as our Opossum as well but easier to say possum
I had 13 pet opossums when I lived on our farm years ago. Some of them especially the ones I reared from the pouch were very tame. I think our opossums are more beautiful
