Help someone! I was uploading photos from my camera to aperture and disconnected it before they were downloaded and aperture wouldn't allow me to upload them again, even tried with different cameras so I uploaded them to I-photo which worked and then thought I could export them to aperture. I went to file in iphoto and clicked on Open library in aperture. Now whats happened is my entire aperture library seems to have disappeared, so how do I get them back? Can I reverse what I did in iphoto some how?

You really need to call Apple support. If Aperture won't let you load them again it usually mean they are already there. You need to be able to access all places where they could be listed. Apple support is your best bet. GL

Why not take the card from the camera and put it in a card reader attached to the computer? You can then open the card in finder select all and copy to somewhere like pictures or desktop

I have mistakenly disconnected early too, but Aperture allowed me to reconnect and finish downloading, so I'm afraid I can't help you other than to agree with David to contact Apple Support. Apple Support is very very customer friendly and helpful and can usually solve problems over the phone. Good luck and let us know how things work out.

Look at the right sidebar of Aperture. There is an option about not downloading duplicates. Uncheck it.

I have never used Aperture, but had a similar problem with Lightroom when the box was checked to not accept duplicate images. Maybe Aperture although disconnected during the first upload sees these as duplicate images. Maybe a long shot, but worth checking.

If you have Time Machine, you should be able to restore your Aperture library.
Good luck!

Just so others can benefit from your discovery, exactly what did you click that brought everything back?
