As far as the IRS scam goes the calls I get are recordings telling me to call back. This is clearly a scam; the IRS does not call, they send letters. The "computer virus" scam is more fun as a human, typically with an Indian accent, is on the phone. I talk to them for as long as possible about the weather, where they live (usually in Texas), etc. eventually they catch on and hang up while I have a good laugh.

I am delighted that I can free up my brain and attention from the mechanics and think more about composition. Shall we give up power steering because we get more exercise without it? Let's abandon X-ray and MRI in favor of a doctor guessing what is wrong. Are you all Luddites?

Last October I went to the Cowboys- Giants game with the same question. I sent emails and I spoke with them. I even went up their management chain a couple of levels. No Deal! I left my gear at home and enjoyed the game. I did NOT want to get to the gate and be turned away. I'm

I've had such calls in the past. DO NOT do anything they say. That said, I have fun with these guys (waste their time) and ask all kinds of questions that would lead them to believe I'm not too bright and a good "mark". I keep this up until either I get bored of they wise up and disconnect.

I have a 70D and a 70DMkII and use a Canon 70-200 f/2.8 with a Canon 2X TC. Results are very good in good light with small f/stops (small apertures). with good planing and intelligent use the combination is more than worth the investment and beats the price of a 400 mm lens.

In the past I used protective filters as well as circular polarizing filters. I finally figured out--about three years ago--that image sharpness was being degraded by the filters.

Thanks for all the help!

By the way, I just had a very unpleasant experience with Best Buy. I wanted to buy the 7D Mk II body but they did not have it in stock. They told me they could order it and have it sent to me within about five days. I received an email confirming that order. About three hours later I received another email telling me that the order for the 7D Mk II was back ordered and would arrive between December 1 and 15. This was too late for me. Here is the rub: I tried to cancel the order and found that this was impossible because I would have had to do so within 30 minutes of purchase (recall that I did not hear about the back order for three hours after purchase confirmation). I ended up having to negotiate with the store where I order the 7D Mk II. They said they found one in Mass. and would get it to me within about five days. I could not get anyone to send me an email confirming any of this. I am dependent on the good offices of a salesperson in the store. Beware of Best Buy!

I haven't bought a 7DII yet. How do you like it with respect to:
1. Image sharpness and quality;
2. Color
3. Performance at high (over 3200) ISO

Any other comments? How does it compare to other DSLRs you have used?
