I agree with the suggestions.
Overall, like'um! A lot!!!

I would consider, center focus and spot metering on Randy's face, reframed and click. I think that would have corrected the face overexposure. No guarantees.......But, that's what I would do.
Pat

Thank you, Jay Pat! Was my first event like this. I will keep your advise in mind for next time. :)

I agree with every suggestion made there.

However, that said... you did a helluva better job than I would in this situation and I think they're pretty darn GOOD!

LOL!! Thank you very much, tilde531! I am learning!

I think you did very good. On Randy Travis you can fix his face a little and tone down his guitar. Do the same for the white shirt on the Clay Walker pic. On the 39 Special guitarist, crop out the black line on the left. Other than that, I wouldn't do anything.

Thank you, tainkc! I value your input and will see what I can do with them. :)

I recently went to a music festival featuring several major artists. I was trying to get some good pics using the stage lights and natural light only with no flash. I used a Nikon D5000 with a 55-200 lens, shutter priority settings, and ISO settings of 1000-1250. Please let me know what you think and how I can improve this type of shooting situation.

I took a different approach to this one. This is a Black & White HDR Split toned. I tried to give it a "old feel". Just an experiment. :)

I like it, but am not clear on what you mean by split toned.

I am still trying to get the full grasp of it myself, Naturenut. To the best of my understanding, split toning is when you tone the highlights to one color, and the shadows to another, and the midtones will be a mix of the two. In this case, my highlights were toned to a light yellow, and the shadows to a dark blue. The effect in this pic were very subtle to try and give it an old feel.

Kev-O, Excellent job! I can't wait until I finally comprehend what it is I am actually doing!!! There will be "no limits" to what can be done!!!

LOL! Thanks, Doe! :) It's not hard. Just takes a little time to grasp it all.

I would like to see more of your work...I hope you are posting on the "HDR Only" thread. I'm trying to look at what everyone is posting via cell phone, so I haven't gotten to that thread yet.

I did make one post there a little bit ago. If you look for a "Newbie to HDR" thread, that is mine with a few more of my pics on it. :)

I upgraded from Photoshop Elements 8 to Photoshop CS5 and I took this just so I could play with the new version. I have a lot to learn! LOL!

That is a way cool shot Kev-O. Very nice!

Thanks, NatureNut! Trying to get used to CS5! Lol! :)
