Yes, they are overexposed. However...I do think you did a great job with posing the young couple. I really like the second one where her feet are off the ground - you can see the joy. Don't be afraid to fill your frame a bit more, concentrate a little more on the subject. Keep trying!

Wonderful...everything about it is wonderful. The lighting, the tones, the composition, the expression on their faces.

Mt. Apatite Farm, built in the late 1800's and still a functioning farm today. The owner kindly let me wander around and I spent a wonderful couple of hours shooting away. She uses the old dairy barn to dry her flowers which she sells at local farmers market. Her garden still had a few flowers blooming as well...it was a wonderful way to spend a misty Saturday morning.

Very nice shots! You need some herbs drying as well. Would love to see some shots of your dried arrangements.

Your grasshopper is nicely detailed, which means critical focus is there. A bit "hot" on the head (sun above & behind). I see noise in the background, which is mostly from excessive cropping to reach macro proportions. A macro lens will make you happy.
Thanks for the feedback, agree with all you say, especially about a real macro lens making me happy!
