ME! Really?
I suggested a SONY RX100M5.
How much smaller a camera is there?
Of reasonable picture quality of course.

And that's why I suggested the Nikon P7800 which I currently use for a "pocket" camera. Last I looked, there was a factory refurb on E-bay for $300.

If WIFI encryption is used, wireless will take MUCH longer than cabled, even USB.

OH Yea. It's slower.
It's advantage is that when using a laptop your not tied physically to the drive.
Small backups aren't bad. So for the first copy-over it's better to use the usb.

Why not backup your files onto the WD 4TB wireless drive?
And then copying everything to a second 4TB usb only drive.
Their so cheap.
Never, ever trust having only one backup drive. Never.
I keep all my data on 4 separate drives.
In my past (computer service) I've seen too many people, with only a single drive with tears in their eyes
after their drive failed and all their data including irreplaceable photos disappear.

SONY RX100M5
The new RX100M6 offers a longer zoom. I will be staying with the 5.
I switched from a Nikon D7000 with a Nikkor DX 17-55 f/2.8 lens.
Got tired of the size and weight.
I've looked at a SONY 6500. Not bad size. Not heavy. Perfect right?
Only until you add a HUGE lense to give you what the RX100M5 gives you in a small. lighter package.
The RX100 series of cameras are a no-brainer for someone looking for a high quality (picture wise) pocketable camera.
YES the Nikon, Nikkor combo was little easier to use.
But I could never figure out how to put it into a coat or pants pocket to have it at my beck-an-call.

Does your laptop have a built-in SD card reader? Most do.
Even my ancient 12 year old Lenovo has one.

I should add that WD sells a portable HD with a built-in SD card reader and runs off it's internal battery or AC power.
You can even plug in a second drive for an additional storage device for extra safety measure.
And it's WI-FI enabled. No need to use a cable for use on your laptop.

That’s why I never bought one. I won’t pay more than $59,000 for a lens. 🤔

Do they make any money from taking those pictures?
If so. How?

He also said it's a 15-600mm lens.

And for under a $1,000.00.
