I have 2 Pentax ME Supers I usedon't since the early 80's. I just bought a Nikon D5500 for a couple of reasons; 1st I could not find a dealer in the Rock Hill, SC area that carried them. I like to touch and hold the item before purchase. 2nd Costco had a great deal on the D5500, 18 -55 lens, 55 -300 lens, second battery, SD card, charger and case.
I would have preferred a Pentax as I would be able to use all the lenses I already have.

Is there a place that I can learn what the conversion is between the digital lens focal length and the focal length of the traditional film camera lenses?

Where I am new to digital photography, I read more of the manual than I normally would. Mostly on the features of the camera and operation. Then I just took some simple photos to play with the manual features and outcomes of the pictures.

I am new to digital DSLR, Nikon D5500. I have been using Pentax ME Supers for years. Hoping to get some pointers from others on the use of dslr's .
