When God gives you enormous amounts or rain, make mushroom soup! These tiny little things are springing up all over. In the second shot I threw in my shoe for reference. Sure makes it look like I have giant feet

As it happens, I am also considering a new laptop. I have back problems and don't want to lug my current heavy 17" around any more. I have been drooling over the LG Gram, which is about 2.5 lbs, depending on model. Of course it doesn't have the DVD drive, but the specs look good. Just curious- how does one load Lightroom and other software without a disc drive? I am determined not to do the cloud thing simply because it pisses me off to have to pay to use everything nowadays.

Where does that spider live?
I hope someone identifies it.

Fergus, it lives in my back yard in NC. It's called Micrathena. I almost walked into it's very large web, which stretches from one branch to another on an oak tree. It's so small I thought it was just some little bit of smutz until it moved. Then I came across another one in another nearby tree web.

Spiders are misunderstood. They are industrious, talented and only slightly scary. Nice captures Judi.

SpyderJan, Much as I enjoyed shooting this one and learning about it, it's still pretty scary to me! It's very tiny but it doesn't take much to give me the willies!

The most fascinating spider I have ever seen. I don't know if it's he or she, but from some angles it looks like it's wearing a beautiful dress. Name: Micrathena, barely 1 cm. I tossed the pine needle into the web and it immediately scurried up to check it out.

Thank you very much Bushpilot. I took numerous shots and did multiple processing styles, this was my favorite.

check out the download, it was a pause that refreshes !

great shot.

Thank you, fredtoo. Hot and humid in the woods, made me wish I'd brought one with me. It wouldn't be the same from a plastic bottle, though.
