OK, I give up. What's up with the second picture where the lowest handrail support is up-side-down?

Why would anyone make fireworks illegal? Have they ever hurt anyone or done any damage? Nah!

They needed to run the video longer so we could see if there was any damage or somebody hurt.

I bought a 1996 Ford Explorer at an auto auction about five years ago. I soon discovered that the odometer wasn't working and has been reading 125k miles as long as I have had it. I hope somebody doesn't accuse me of turning the odometer back.
I plan on driving it until the wheels fall off then I will sell it to the local U-Pull-It for a couple of bucks. They can then see it for parts. The damn thing runs so well I don't know when that may be, unlike that crappy 1964 Chevy Impala I had many years ago.

From the article:
"It's never been confirmed, but many people beleive that Lady Liberty's face was inpired by Bartholdi's mother."

I can't believe that "beleive" got past the spell checker.

I just paid my electric bill last night. It was $73.71. It is so high because, except for my furnace and water heater, all my appliances and devices are electric. My current gas bill is an outrages $16.82 even though I rarely use the furnace since the weather is getting warmer.

They shoot off the fireworks at the local high school that is just down the road from me. I'm not much of a fireworks fan but will watch them as long as I don't have go any farther than my front yard. We get a lot of cars coming down our street to watch the show.
My avatar is my dog Penny. Not only do the fireworks not bother her but she will stand in the front yard and watch them with me. And no she is not deaf or blind.

I looked forward to listening to them every week. I have many of their shows recorded.

Attorneys, "Dewey, Cheatham and Howe "
I found an NPR website that plays "the best of Car Talk". I listen to them since I haven't heard all of them when they were on the air.
You can find them here if interested:

Soylent Green is a different flick.
I realize that but it's the same theme - humans being processed as food.

I checked out Netflix and Amazon Prime for this movie. Netflix doesn't have it. Amazon has it on Prime but it's not available in my area. What's that about - not in my area?

I can rent it for $3.99 but is it worth it?

Oakland, CA had the same situation in April, 2007.

"OAKLAND, Calif., April 29 — A fiery predawn tanker truck accident caused the collapse of a heavily trafficked freeway overpass near downtown on Sunday, sending hundreds of feet of concrete crashing onto a highway below and hobbling a vital Bay Area interchange."

An aerial view of the collapsed freeway overpass near downtown Oakland.

How could they not become overwhelmed? I'd better order everything on my Amazon Wish List right now!
In the area Amazon makes their own deliveries. We see the Amazon trucks all over the place.

I bought a Xerox WorkCenter 6027 all-in-one color laser printer about five years ago when Costco had it on sale for about $150, down from about $400. Best printer I ever bought, better than any HP or Canon printer I had. Never any issues with it. Even does a decent job of printing color photos.

I've been on the verge of switching to YouTube TV for a while. It will cost about $73/mo - until their next price increase. I've heard everything from $43 - $79 for Spectrum cable. I dread calling them.
I used to have Spectrum for TV but have changed over to YouTube TV a couple years ago. Best move I made regarding TV. One thing about YouTube TV is they don't have the History Channel but I haven't missed it.
I still have Spectrum for the Internet and for my "landline" phone.

Some of you may not be familiar with Tom Mix and his history in Hollywood. He was the very first western cowboy star, greatly admired for doing his own stunt work, a lot of which was extremely dangerous in those early film days. His work became the prototype performance for all the cowboy stars that proliferated in the coming years. During his years of acting....1909 to 1935....he was in the astounding number of 291 films. Only 9 of those were " talkies " , the rest were silent.
I watched a couple of Tom Mix's silent films recently on Turner Classic Movies. One of the films (Sky High) was shot around the Grand Canyon and featured the first aerial film of the Canyon.
