Reminds me of third grade, when kids would put "Bob Katt" on the substitute's sign-in sheet.
Not quite as good as Car Talk's closings:
Company chauffeur, Pikup Andropov,
Used joke specialist: Odessa Goodwin,
etc.

I looked forward to listening to them every week. I have many of their shows recorded.

Me too (remember the one about the lady and the dead Poodle?). To my surprIse, recently my son, who was raised on NPR and Car Talk, waxed nostalgic about all those Saturdays with Dad, on the way to Soccer practice listening to Car Talk. Sadly, so many great NPR hosts and shows have passed on, but my son now rarely misses Morning Edition or All Things Considered and often finds ideas to incorporate into his teaching.

If you’re standing in Cambridge square where the huge newsstand (hopefully) still is. Look up at the windows behind you and you’ll see DCH’s office. 😎

I found an NPR website that plays "the best of Car Talk". I listen to them since I haven't heard all of them when they were on the air.
You can find them here if interested:
