Try as I may, throughout the neighborhood, I could not find any older vehicles, then I recalled you said any mode of transport from the last century. Here's my try stitching 6 vertical shots with a 70 - 210 mm zoom at the 70 mm end and macro mode with early evening light in the shade.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure my cat wrote the cats part, or at least had an advisory roll.

Excerpts from a Cats Daily Diary:
Day 683 of my captivity:
My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects.
They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets.
Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.
The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the floor.
Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts,
since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a good little hunter I am. The audacity!
There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event.
However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of allergies.
I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage.
Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking.
I must try this again tomorrow but at the top of the stairs.
I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges.
He is regularly released and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded!
The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicate with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move.
My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe
for now

Oh, oh, oh, I've got another one! Every good story needs a flash back. A little over a month ago (this is the flashback part) I posted this guy and lots of his buddies working really hard for me in my pear blooms beside the house. Today I'm looking out my kitchen window and low and behold I see their efforts have become "FRUITFUL".
Now if I can keep this other critter and his buddies happy with corn I might get some of my own pears this year.
Its a continuing story.
Busy worker! (flashback)
Alright! Fruitful!
May need to buy more corn.
A story from my daughter in Austin: Took these pictures last weekend while visiting and it just dawned on me, "here's a story to tell".
Last year a mother wren took up house keeping in a pool or beach bag that was hanging outside under a covered porch area. The bag just hangs there through the winter and early spring unused near the pool stuff. This year the bag was not in the same place but was hanging unused near the back entry door, and momma wren must have really liked the living conditions last year because...she's baaack!
There's that same room I had last year.
This is just perfect.
Plenty of room for five young'ns
Not my stroy, not my picture, but hey I just couldn't help myself
A lady opened her refrigerator and saw a rabbit sitting on one of the shelves.
"What are you doing in there?"
She asked.
The rabbit replied:
"This is a Westinghouse, isn't it?",
To which the lady replied
"Yes."
"Well," the rabbit said,
"I'm westing."
Sorry... I couldn't stop myself.
Have a Wonderful Easter....

Nan, I love your story and pictures put us right there with the craftsmen putting togeather the engineer's structure that will hold up the architects's dream. That sometimes can be a real challenge depending on the dream.

Love your century plant. How often do you get to see it bloom? I saw one bloom here in SA over 30 years ago from a distance but have never seen it bloom again. Not sure if urban sprawl took it out but the hillside it was on doesn't seem to be disturbed. Just curious if it truly is a once in a life time event?

From what I have read, the plant can reach up to 26 feet tall before it blooms. Unfortunately, it will die after blooming.

I wouldn't be surprised, the one I saw here was certainly that tall. It seemed to reach that height quite quickly also as I recall. Would be interested in your photos to full bloom and how many days it takes to get there.
You can't fool me. You're herding some hens in there too.

You must be really close to the international date line. and I'm guessing that's a "White" African Daisy.
Nice pictures. Were you using a macro lens or tubes, or just zoom and post process crop?

Not very good at this "in hiding" stuff. Gave it all away right up front. The sign on the pump says it all though.

(by the way where are the 42???)
Been out of touch a few days. Busy week end with grand kids and preping for out of town visitors. Hmmm, inspriations? How about breaking rules, like taking pictures of neighbors stuff without their permission, or ignoring signs at the car wash, or parking illegal to take a picture of the indian paint brush with the blue bonnets on a rock ledge. All taken today to qualify the challenge criteria. You can tell sky's overcast all day, lighting not great, pictures so so. Oh yeah, I only used a 50 mm lens.
Left neighbors brand new flag pole flying the colors
right neighbors esparanza blooms for saturdays challenge
blue bonnets for yesterday
another neighbors landscape feature
I wasn't playing music...just listening to Rush.
Yeah, I centered, SO??
I'll try a few before I turn in tonight.

Just a couple more then I'm gone. I'm thinking of registering my back for a dove lease. Hunters may inquire.
Uh Oh!
I am full!
Maybe just one more.
I see you too!
