A camera is somewhat like Microsofts Word. I use about 2% of Word and get completely bamboozled when one of the features gets turned on by accident. I then spend the next hour working out how to "fix" it. Only to have the same thing happen in 2 years time and go through the same procedure. A complex camera is somewhat similar. What would be really nice is if it was possible to suck off a cameras menu system, reconfigure it on a PC for only those features you regularly use, and restore it to the camera. And to have a search function that would allow you to look for the feature you rarely use for a one off use.

Sounds like a Sony problem.
I used to have problems accidentally turning the top selection knob on my Canon 20D, but it has been redesigned and I don’t recall problems with any other cameras I have used.
The 20D is from about 2004 so that design was a long time ago.
The newest Canon bodies are almost fool proof and the modes in them seem pretty relevant to the likely targeted experience level of the users of certain level bodies.
I use a lot of modes and a lot of the camera, depending on the shooting situations.

If you click on the radial filter, then click on invert, and then draw the filter, the invert flag should remain in the state you left it. If you click on the radial filter, draw the filter, then click on invert, the invert flag will revert to the previous state.

This is also how the default brushes work (versus user defined brushes).

A new feature with the graduated and radial filters is the ability to use adjustment brushes on the region. So you apply a filter, then with the filter still active you click on the adjustment brush, and you can add (or erase..the cool part of this feature) using the brush.
