I spent the holidays practicing portrait shots. Couldn't find a model anywhere so I thought...why not use my fine self? Being a photog, one doesn't get shot very often and I have a very limited idea of what I look like (mostly from looking straight ahead in the mirror). Well that was a jolting experience 'cause it turns out that ' I'm a hard looking ticket' !
Try and find out the temperature of the lights in the rink and set your white board accordingly. Mike M
I shoot plays under ever changing lighting setups and I've found, after much trial and error, that white board auto and 1/125 sec is the way for me to go.

Nice shots for sure. My backyard (in the city) gets visited regularily by a doe with 1 fawn, a doe with 2 fawns and a doe with 3 fawns. On one occasion they were all there at the same time...introducing the fawns I guess:)
Advice that was given to me: If you want to be a good photographer, begin by shooting the things that you love (and don't stop 'til you get that perfect shot)! Me? I love fast women and fast cars:)
Seems the word "issue" means "problem" these days. Whats wrong with the word "problem"
