I don't think there is enough detail for identity. The download really falls apart. Sorry.

Thanks for looking.

I know this pic sucks, but it's a quick snap of a bird that would't let me get closer.
Could someone tell me what kind of hawk this is?

I would opt for the D7200 or D500. I have both.

I own a D7200 and a D500. I am contemplating a D850.

But, I just got an email from Nikon suggesting I should upgrade to a D7500. They pointed out that it is on sale.

What to do, what to do????

Water snakes may be non-venomous, but they will bite if molested or mishandled, possibly necessitating
tetanus shots.

I have been thinking about buying my own personal photo printer. I typically don't print many photos but occasionally I capture one that I want to blow up for the wall. I have been using the local printing shop. Is it really worth the expense of paper and ink????

The answer to this is how you feel about your work product. I print maybe four or five of every two thousand I take for my personal use.
I will print pictures for relatives and friends that request them at cost.
I was able to pick up a Canon PRO-100 on sale last year at a cost of $ 85.00 US on sale, after rebates. I felt this was reasonable for my use.

I shoot in raw (Nikon NEF), and am wondering how to save my work in Photoshop.

Don't know if this will be any help since I don't use PS. I do use NX-D, PSE 15, and occasionally Affinity.
I prefer making prints from .tif files.

Good morning all,

Any suggestions pls for a wired or wireless remote for the D500. My intent is to use it with a long lens and tripod. Not particularly interested in using the timer delay method.

Thank you.

Les

I have been using the Nikon WR-R10/WR-T10/WR-A10 wireless remote set on my D500.
Available from B&H https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/911445-REG/nikon_27106_wr_a10_wireless_remote_controller.html?sts=pi

Hi, you guys have a lot of experience and I wish to avail myself of some of that.
i cannot get my head around the newer Nikon cameras and their differences. I am an experienced amateur photographer and have been for many years. I currently have a Nikon D5200 which is a nice camera for me but I want to upgrade. My wife and I are planning extended travel over the next few years and I am trying to figure out which new camera to buy. We will be mainly on the water and in coastal areas in the islands.
I think I have narrowed my choices to the D500, D7500 or D750. I know that some are full frame and others not, I am not sure that makes a big difference to me since I would rarely print any photos. I am asking for your opinion as to which would be the better choice and why.

Thanks for your input
Steve

I have both the D7200 and the D500, with a 50mm prime, 28-200 (mostly D7200), 18-300 (mostly D500), and 200-500 (both). These two cameras with the proper lens
work well for me. I know some do not like the zoom lens, but I have a limited budget. If I were to have just one, I would pick the D500.

I use a Canon pro 100 with what ever paper I want from Red River Paper, printing at home.

I've been a hobbyist for over 50 years. Currently I'm using a Nikon D90 with a Nikkor 18-105mm lens. Most of my photography is done while I'm hiking or sightseeing. I'm having excellent results, however I'm missing the more distant wildlife shots. My objective is to buy a good quality lens without adding too much weight. I'm considering purchasing the Nikkor 18-300mm lens. I'd appreciate any opinions on this lens or recommendations on other lenses.

I have been using the 18-300 on either a D7200 or D500 for the lat year, and have been very happy with it.

Manual mode, ISO 100, f/11, 1/100 sec. Adjust from there.

Great! How do you transfer them to NX-D. I do not know how to do that.

Assuming you have NX-D loaded, attach the camera with the appropriate cable, turn the camera on, click the transfer button
in the lower right after the pics have loaded.
