Yes, a smile is infectious. Especially from children. That's a single moment of happiness when it happens. Good for child development.

I feel for the people of Nashville,
it is very sad for the families, lives lost, homes destroyed.
This really hits home for me, as I'am a survivor of an F4 tornado in 1989.
My home was completely destroyed, myself, my wife, and my two children that were aged 7 and 3 at the time.
My daughter did not survive, the rest of us had injury's which took over 6 months to recover from.
Still after all this time still have not recovered the loss of our daughter, although it does get easier, but with the loss of life you dont get over that.
The house, cars , belonging's are all replicable. Ours was so bad that some things that were ours were found 30 miles away.
Attached is a photo of my little girl.
Sorry for rambling on....

Thanks for your family story. Sad, it is. Your daughter is adorable. I can understand why you missed her so much.

Samsung, SanDisk, and Crucial make SSDs. However, I have been told the Samsung EVO is perhaps the best of the three above listed. Crucial has RAM updates. If, you go to their website, and you give them the name and model of your desktop or laptop. Crucial, will have the exact upgrade RAM replacements for your computer. I would not buy a SSD from Crucial though. Good luck.

One famous female singer, said she loved the sound of camera clicks sounds. It meant that she was still relevant as a famous singer. Another famous female country and western singer, pre-SLR era. Said, she collected old flash bulbs, after the photographers took pictures of her. Knowing each spent bulb was a photo of her. Shutter clicks may have some effects on wildlife photography, because animals generally have better hearing than humans.

I am new to all of this. As such I bought David Busch's book on the Nikon D610. He identifies; P as Program,"a good all around option"

David Busch's books are excellent, from what has been said about them on this forum. If, I ever buy a new Nikon camera, I would be interested in purchasing a book of his. I call the "P" Mode Program. Exactly, what my Nikon manual says it is.

I once saw the aftermath of a tornado, visiting Ohio. Hurricanes are also destructive. But, you have advanced warning for a hurricane. Not, so much for a tornado, or earthquake. I have visited Memphis, known for Barbeque, Blues and Jazz music, and Chattanooga, known for the Civil War Battle at Lookout Mountain. Nashville, TN, I have never visited. But, known for the Grand Ole Opry, and country music. I sympathize with the residents of Nashville. The tornado was at EF-3 level. Eighteen lives have been lost. Some children. Disasters, are slow to recovery sometimes. But, family survival is more important.

And the debate goes on, about the correct definition of the "P" Mode. Professional or Program? However, my Nikon manual calls it Program. But, whatever you prefer to call it, it's your choice. And let it be.

What amazes me, is all the countries that have people who have this virus. It's now global. I went to Costco to buy a hot dog and pizza. And the food preparers were all wearing face masks. I don't know if it was mandatory or voluntary? I never saw that in the past visits. Before this Virus became known.

I own the aforementioned Nikon D5600.
I have seen some discussions talking about "crop sensors" and cameras that take a less than full frame picture and how some cameras have an effect on the lenses focal length.
How can I find out how all of these effect the 5600.
Also how does all this effect what lens I buy? for example "Nikon AF-P DX NIKKOR G ED VR Lens
Thanks John

The D5600 is the current model of the D5000 series. All previous models have been discontinued. It has a 24 megapixels sensor. The same as the D7100/D7200. It lacks the internal focus motor and dual SD card slots. It has very good IQ. The camera is best served using AF-P and AF-S Nikon lenses. You can also use Nikon FX lenses. There are limitations using some Nikon Legacy manual only lenses. On lenses, you will have the 1.5X factor. Which is the Nikon crop sensor.

Beautiful photos of Death Valley. I especially liked the last photo. The highest recorded air temperature, in a certain area of Death Valley, was 134 degrees in 1913. Today. It still ranks among the highest temperatures on planet earth. The highest ever was recorded in the Libyan Desert. At 136 degrees.

I knew a pro photographer who owned a D810 and a D750, that his wife used. Both cameras came out before the D500 was released. I have noticed on this forum, that many own both a D500 and a D800 series DSLRs. The D500 is obviously the best DX camera, known to be a sports and wildlife camera, capable of 10 fps. You can use DX and FX lenses on the D500. It would not be practical to use DX lenses on a D810. But, for resolution, the D810, with 36 megapixels has the advantage over the 20.9 megapixels D500.

There have been mentioned on past topics, on this forum, that the 28-300mm Nikon lens is not recommended for the D850. Some have said, they have used that lens with very good results, on the D850. I have a friend who owns the FX 28-300mm lens. He uses it on a crop sensor D7100. And gets very good results from it. A very good affordable sports lens is the Tamron 70-200mm f2.8 G2.

I own a Sony Cypershot pocket camera, that I bought 4 years ago for less than $150. It only shoots JPEG. It has a zoom Zeiss lens from 25-200mm. Which is very sharp for a tiny sensor. Now, I want a HX99. The Sony RX100vii, is a little over my budget for a pocket camera. Both the HX99 and RX100 series can shoot RAW. Which makes it a better travel camera. Overall.

IBIS was supposed to be in the $6500 Nikon DSLR. Perhaps Nikon chose not to have it. Because there are numerous VR lenses that are available for it? A camera with IBIS, especially a crop sensor camera is a feature that most photographers wouldn't mind owning.

Beautiful photos. I have seen TV documentaries of the animals on the Serengeti. Yes, I agree, it is a wildlife photographer's dream.
