Is anyone using a Novation Launch Control XL or similar device to control LightRoom?

And/or what are your feelings on this?

Nice

My pick from the album would be "Race With the Devil on Spanish Highway" though.

AMTRAK is my favorite way to travel after driving. Once I'm onboard I put away my watch and read, before I know it I've arrived. The south leg to the west coast through the Grand Tetons is my favorite with the Great Lakes run to the east my next. I've done Chicago to Carbondale many times on the City of New Orleans. If I really wanted to get some place quickly, I fly, but I don't enjoy the detachment. By the time AMTRAK gets around to high speed rails somebody will have invented a Star Trek transporter.

You can get exact information on Macs at Everymac.com http://www.everymac.com
Use this page to find the exact model http://www.everymac.com/ultimate-mac-lookup then click on the link provided to see the complete specs from Apple.

Keep in mind that sometimes larger memory is released to the market after Apple creates the specs. That means you might actually be able to install more memory than it says.

My personal process is to get pre-sales support at Other World Computing https://www.macsales.com. Tell them your model and ask for the largest upgrade available. Ive been in the Apple repair business since before the Mac was released in 1984 and OWC has long been my goto vendor.

An overhead scanner is easier to use for books than a flatbed and many of them include software to flatten to pages and reach into the crook.

One thing to remember about Photos.app is it is extensible and some plug-ins are both useful and free.

Minolta MC ROKKOR PF 58mm f/1.4 and the Minolta MD 125mm 2.5 I still shoot them today as matter of fact, I shot both of them last week.

The MC Rokkor 58mm ƒ1.4 is an amazing lens, one of my three main lenses for years. The other two main lenses in my bag, both MC Rokkor, were a 35mm and a 135mm both ƒ1.8. I also carried a variety of variable focal length and zoom lenses. One zoom was one of the first computer designed lenses, a 100-300mm, Soligar if I remember correctly. After I switched to digital I gave my kit to my middle daughter who used it until it was stolen from her. Sometimes I miss that kit.

Early on when I was an Apple tech in training we had to pass an ESD test before we could receive product training. Poor ESD habits would get you washed out of any future training. Now ESD habits are totally ingrained in my spinal loops.

No, all 4 posted vacation photos required No Selfie stick, just hand held, as steady as possibly, although I have entertained the idea of purchasing a quality"Selfie-Stick", for those rare occasions that my Hands are just insufficient to capture the image i want.

I'm sorry, my comment was referring to "Blade Runner/Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep". It was meant to be humorous. "Nexus" is the model designator of replicants, genetically engineered slaves of the future. The newest generation of replicants is Nexus-6 so a Nexus-5 would be an older model of slave one might buy at a discount to carry your camera.
