I use the Peak Design Everyday Backpack 30L. Check their website. I think it will do everything you are asking in a backpack. The smaller one is the 20L.

The Peak design strap attaches to the tripod plate that comes with the strap. They also include the anchors with the strap. It is an arca Swiss type of plate which makes it very universal. They also have a kit to install on the plate if you use Manfrotto ball heads. You can use the strap and mount on the tripod at the same time unlike other straps.

Peak Design, easy to attach and detach while keeping the tripod socket available. It is very easy to adjust to slide the adjustment levers and lock them in place. You can quickly detach the straps when on a tripod or monopod so the straps are out of the way. What else can you ask for in a strap.

I was doing an engagement shoot a few years back and at the end of the evening was sitting by the river enjoying the last of the day. There had been three motorcycles racing up and down the canyon all evening. I looked up to see two speed by but not the third. I could hear it off in the distance. As the cycle approached a truck pulling a trailer was going up the canyon. The motorcycle was traveling down the canyon. You can tell by the sound of the engine that the cycle was flying. The truck and the cycle met on a curve. The truck driver ran his truck into the guard rail but the cyclist hit him head on in his lane. There was nothing either driver could do.
The cyclist left behind a girl friend and a baby and the truck driver had nightmares for years. Sometimes speed kills.

I have tried many of the bags mentioned and have settled on Peak Design Explorer 30L and have the Sling as well. The sling can fit 1 body and 2 lens plus some extras. Just right for a hike. There build quality is excellent. I switched to using many of there products.

Jay Matt is correct. I visit Yellowstone several times a year. You have such a variety of things to photograph that you would always be changing lens. I take two cameras a full frame with a 24-70 and a crop sensor with a 100-400. I also take a 150-600 to use with the crop sensor camera. This about covers everything. You could use the 50mm and the 400mm and be fine.

I use quite a few lens, my favorite is the 70-200 2.8. It is extremely expensive but I also use the 18-150 for video. It has a button for the zoom to make the focusing very smooth. They upgraded the firmware on the lens and it does a great job for the price. With the crop factor it will give you that additional reach you are after. Another lens to consider is the 70-300. These are both G master lens so they are good glass. You can google each lens and find the good and bad points. You will always be able to find better glass but you have to spend an awful lot of money.

Listen to CamB, we went a few months ago and loved the trip. I took two cameras, a full frame with a 24-70 and a crop sensor with a 70-300. Did I miss some shots, Yes. Did I get some shots, yes. Tripods and monopods are just not practical especially on tours. If you are going to Denali a tour is the only way to see the park. IMO. The biggest problem you'll have is the weather. Be prepared.

All items have been SOLD. Thanks!
I have for sale:
1 Canon 430 EX Speedlite $50.00 - SOLD
2 Canon 580 EX Speedlites $75.00 each
1 Canon 580 EX ll Speedlite $100.00
3 Pocket Wizard TT5 receivers $75.00 each
1 Pocket Mini TT 1 Transmitter $100.00
1 Pocker Wizzard AC3 Controllet $15.00
Each of these items are in great working order. I am no longer using the Canon system of cameras. I switched to Sony. This system works perfectly. I priced these items at least half of the listed price on the B&H website. I am just trying to give someone a good deal. If someone is looking for a great light set up this is it. The Pocket Wizards should be sold altogether in order for the system to work. If you need to augment your existing system then now is the time to pick up some pieces.

SOLD

I am selling my last Canon camera for $2800.00. I have switched to the Sony camera system and I have just resisted selling this great camera. It has taken some great purchased pictures. There are 16,820 clicks on the camera and I enjoyed everyone of them. I also included a 1.4 teleconverter version lll. I will no longer be able to use this as well. This system sells for over $6000. I have returned it to Canon service to make sure it is in perfect working order. I am confident that you will have many good years of service from this wonderful camera.

I included 3 batteries, memory cards, a vello off camera trigger, eyefi cards, peak design neck strap.

The 1dx is the top of the line pro camera and takes fantastic images.

I have both cameras and have shot with both Sony and Canon lens. You will need the adapter to shoot with Canon and they work well but you don't get all of the functionality of the camera lens combination. I don't believe your premise is correct that Sony lens are lacking. The test I have done and images I have taken are very good and the extra features make them exceptional. The 6500 with the new 70-200 2.8 is an in beatable combination and then add the 24-70 2.8 to it and you are set. I use the Canon 100-400 ll for wildlife. The 18-105 is a fantastic video lens. Good luck.
