The Nebraska Sandhills region is pretty nice, northwest - large rock formations like Scott's Bluff and the Needle prove that the state ain't all flat, unless you stick to I-80 (boring). I would recommend going n the spring (March) when the Sandhill Cranes are there - 3000,000 big birds take over the Platte for several weeks (central NE). North central (Valentine) there are a couple reserves that feature elk and prairie chicken. And for a non-natural attraction, visit Carhenge, Alliance, NE. Plus some interesting motels, etc. A few tips from an Iowan (It ain't all flat either.)
Does anyone know if Affinity can 'host' googles new free NIK add-ins?
I think that a good part of the 'problem' is that most people and some photographers don't know what is a good photo. It's like the old saw 'I don't know much about art, but. I know what I like.' Like the popularity of velvet Elvis paintings. Many people figure a photo is just a photo, whether it was shot with Android or Canon. So, as long as the shot is not totally crap price is the deciding factor,,if not the only factor. Are the organizers of a local event experts? Not in all cases, so the kid is cheaper - question is your product really noticeably better?
I have his issue in a lot of photos like this. The sky is cloudy, so the it is grey or whitish, trees extending up into the sky, the trees are kind of fuzzy and they have a haze around the branches, usually light blue but this one is red in the upper left corner. i know that the tree branches are not going to be in sharp focus, but is the hazy stuff normal? Any other problems that you see?
Got up at 5 AM to look around the lake...
We were driving back to Iowa from a week in Ft Collins, CO, when I-80 was detoured through a small town named Pine Bluffs. Long ago, around 1900, when gas street lights were the newest thing, Pine Bluffs was named the best lighted city of its size (about1200) in the USA
(When di we stop keeping stats on that?). It was also, in the mid 1800s the largest cattle shipping point on the Union Pacific RR. Well, it ain't a real noteworthy town no more, but as we drove my wife stopped the Yukon and pointed to Pete's Service, and said, now theres a photo shoot for you! And here's the result...

Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge, Prairie City, Iowa, is having a photo contest so we drove over to see what there was. No elk to see today, but there was a large herd of bison blocking traffic!
The only stork s you will find in the US are wood stork s and they are not nearly as pretty as the her on.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
Th are mainly found in FL.
