I actually use Dropbox for most photo sharing. I have a paid account, but the free one would do for a lot of folks. Not a good choice if you don't want others to be able to download the original file.

I've had a 5DII for years, and am a Canon fan. If I buy a new FF, it'll be a Sony hands down. Probably the A7RII.

As for the Arsenal, I find it doubtful that it's going to add that much over the programmed automatic functions of any good camera. The best shots come when a human is in control.

It's simply a photo sharing app for phones and tablets with some clever filters. Support for very short looping videos was added a while back.

You can also get the Cowboy Studio kit for wireless triggering of two flashes. Maybe not the highest built quality, but I've used this kit many times with good results.

I own the Canon lens. It's well worth the money. Tamron is ok, but you get what you pay for. I'd even buy a used Canon copy over a new Tamron.

Ok there are no virtual copies you can only produce a jpeg in fact if you want to save any development work you have to produce a jpeg or a tiff. Can't sync edits. No lens corrections... .

The whole point of LR, is that it is non destructive editing. Your work is automatically saved with each change. The source raw file remains unchanged. Yes, there are in fact lens corrections.

LR is very daunting at first. I think if more folks took some time. Maybe a class, or just watched some videos, they would see the light.

See what I did there.

Features like "red eye reduction" and "focus assist" can cause extra flashes to fire before the actual exposure is taken.

f you do not want something "complicated," then Photoshop is not for you. Photoshop is the very definition of complicated software.

I bought a Panasonic G7 for just this reason. For the money, it's just amazing. Albeit, you'd spend more once you bought a lens or three.

If you don't want to mess with interchangeable lenses, the DMC-Z1000 is an excellent choice.

Some really great shots of these amazing creatures. As someone who has shot hummers many times, I'm a bit envious.

great advice but I think he wants to transfer the program over to hs new Desk tops?

I could be wrong and if so forgive me.

Picasa itself would have to be installed anew, and is no longer offered. As for the photos themselves, they can be moved using Explorer. A common misconception is that the images "live" inside a given program. They are simply in a folder somewhere on the computer. Usually /My Documents/Pictures

I have two new desk top computers that came with Windows 10. I find this version the worst for accomplishing any task. Going to "photos" shows no connection to any editing programs. Why is multiple paths to get something done an improvement over older versions of Windows? I am constantly puzzled at attempting to accomplish tasks that were only a click away on the older versions.

You have to select a photo, and then click edit at the top. Once you do that, I think the rest will be clear.

Or, you can simply right click the file in explorer, and choose photos. This is the way I prefer to use it.

Assuming since your laptop is new, you have Windows 10? If so, check out the Windows "Photos" app. Really simple and slick for quick photo editing.
