I couldn't agree with you more Shaun. If it's your photo you're free to do with it what you will and for whatever reason. However, the bottom line for me is, your modified photo is phony. I much prefer the original.

Thanks. May go with Tamron 16-300mm. Light & takes good photos.

I don't think you'll be disappointed with the Tamron 16-300. Once Tamron did a "fix" on my
mine, it's worked perfectly on my Canon EOS 80D.

I see your pictures often and they are always excellent. In this one you are taking notice of the sky but I was taken by the cross section of people you capured. It may be because of the upcoming elections and the bleak picture that has been painted of this country that it is good to see this, all different, all at ease with one another, all Americans.

No question about it. The Country Club Plaza abounds with fantastic photo ops; people, architecture, fountains and many other things. Sometimes though, a photograph does not show the true picture.

Not long ago the Plaza wasn't the safest of places to be in Kansas City. Gangs of young people, pre-teens even, from a particular Kansas City community would congregate on the Plaza for no other reason than to cause trouble. Actually, it looked like riots on TV. If memory serves, this went on for about three summers. It finally got so bad that the city established a curfew and increased the police presence there. Even with these measures trouble can still be found in the Plaza area.

All different, yes. All Americans, maybe. All at ease with one another, don't think so. I feel very much ill at ease on the Plaza during the daytime and you will not find me there after sunset. I'm pretty sure others feel the same. Being a senior citizen (pushing 80) has something to do with my feelings I'm sure. The shame of it is...the Country Club Plaza use to be one of the premier places to go in Kansas City, Missouri. Of course that was a long, long time ago.

Don't think I've ever enjoyed looking at a set of pictures as much as I have these. What
a story they tell!

Here are a few more offerings from my Texas vacation. These were all captured while boating on Lake Austin Texas. Please try the downloads.

Great shots! But then it really doesn't matter where you go in Texas...photo ops abound!

Thank you so much Pilot for your very kind words...they are greatly appreciated! The mode I use is always manual...just like having full control of my camera.

Thank you. The results certainly justify your reasoning.
