I spend much of my time with the camera on a copy stand, and don't want the carrying strap getting in the way. Any advice on a good strap that a releases quickly?
Thanks
Cant go wrong with Op-tech.
This is what I did. It's a fast release. I paid $1.50 each at my local hardware store. (Double that price for stainless steel... but exactly the same.

I have "The Slide" from Peak Design. It uses a small plastic button that tethers to your camera mounts. The strap can be clipped and unclipped to the button with one hand. I have 3 buttons mounted on my 1DX where I can switch from neck strap mode to slide strap mode by just changing one strap end to one of the other buttons. I like it because there are no metal parts to scratch the camera. The addition buttons can be purchased separately so you can use the same strap on multiple cameras.

Op/Tech for me, A GREAT SYSTEM.
I have different straps depending one whether I am using one camera or two, easy to change the configuration. When using it on a tripod in windy conditions I very quickly detach the straps from the body.
I like the Peak Design Slide, on and off in seconds.
