Loved photography since the film days of the early 80s. Started off with a Pentax K1000. I wound up taking score long siesta, but I'm back at it.
I practice as much as I can, and occasionally shoot for money. I am not quite a professional (I don't profess to know the craft as well as I like) so I guess I'm sort of a semi-professional. I do aspire to profess photography.

I hope to learn from and contribute to these forums.

And the Parts Dept has to stock every one of them, for different years and models.

Hi Jerry,

I would be willing to bet my weeks salary that there is a part on that car that cannot be purchased from the dealers parts dept. :)

This is the advert from Adorama sent by email.

Sigma 150-500mm f/5-6.3 DG APO OS (Optical Stabilizer) HSM AutoFocus Telephoto Zoom Lens for Maxxum & Sony Alpha Mount.

Do any of you Sony shooters have this lens and is it really
OS (Optical Stabilizer) equipped?

It appears that most sellers of this lens for Minolta - Sony
use the same description when advertizing it for use with all cameras including the Minolta - Sony.

If the Sony lens is OS equipped do you turn of the camera or the lens stabilization feature or use both at the same time.

Thanks for all the answers.

I did buy a Sigma 18-250 awhile back that was advertized to have OS (Optical Stabilizer) in the lens and when it arrived it was without OS.

After the purchase and arrival contact with seller I found out about the Sony exemption.

I was after one with the OS built in the lens because of the OS in the camera had failed.

Again thank you for all the answers.

What are some of the programs available for a PC computer to download images from a memory card. The Nikon Picture Project is good but what are the others?
Thanks

I use the built in windows program with a card reader. Open computer to the desktop insert card in reader and windows takes over automatically. Click import and photos are loaded into pictures file.

Thank you Roadrunner,

It is nice when you get a couple of photos out of a 100 or so attempts.

Even though it cost me a $20.00 lens cap, lost it.

Oh well tis life.

Well, what did you see in the "selfie"photo?
Are you sure you saw what you thought you saw after you've seen the photo?

PS: I did not take the photo nor do I know who did it.
